With the warm weather, my bunny is drinking a lot more than usual (about half a liter a day). He’s about 5 months old now, and for a little more than a month he has been peeing in his litter box (and anywhere upstairs, as we don’t have a second litter box there yet).

One day I came home and when he got up, I saw he was sitting in his pee. I don’t know if he just woke up and peed because I woke him up, or if he had been sitting in it for a while already.

Also, he makes these small pee stains on the floor now, and on me when I’m holding him, and his feet are often wet.

He’s still young, and the heat/lots of drinking might have something to do with it… still I’m a bit worried. He seems very happy, eating and playing as usual.

        Should I be worried?

Is he dribbling pee? It could be a UTI.

I would take him to your vet to rule out a health issue.

Is he confined somewhere when you’re not home?

It’s not really dribbling… it’s more peeing just a little bit. It’s a small pool, not just a few drops.

When I’m not home, I put him in his (big) cage.
