        Hello All!

I’m looking for some good treats! I know I won’t need a lot, since treats shouldn’t be give too often. I was hoping to maybe get recipes for homemade treats, for fun

I sometimes make homemade treats by grinding up some all-hay pellets, then adding banana to the powder until it makes a nice dough. Then I roll it into balls and bake until hard.
Some other great, healthy treats are crasins, raisins, and banana.

LongEaredLions, you know I’ve tried doing that a thousand times and it never seems to come out right ever. And it’s really frustrating because I can bake really well but I can’t figure out the consistency of bunny treats. Go figure. XD

I like to make a bunny applesauce with papaya in it. I’ll slice up apple and boil it until it gets mushy and then throw it into my magic bullet to chop it up finely with papaya bits to make it into an applesauce and give a spoonful to the buns as a treat. When it’s cooled of course.

You do have to sift out the “hay powder” after you grind it up, so only the tiniest pieces are used. I use a sieve. After you are done, it should have about the consistency of flour. Otherwise, you are right, it doesn’t work very well.

I’ve made these several times and they turned out great. My buns loved them. I always put less honey since I think that is a rather large amount. The only thing is, watch them very, very carefully in the oven because mine were cooked much faster than the time indicated.

I’ll have to try sifting it then LOL! Thanks! =]

LPT those look yummy! Is the honey in it okay?

BunnyBrigade- If these cookies were unhealthy, I’m sure the House Rabbit Society would not have posted it on their website. I just felt that 1TBSP seemed like a lot. And my bunnies loved them with half that amount.
