Minnie-bun is going through a pretty intense molt right now, which she seems to do every couple of months.  This time, though, the fur that’s underneath all the shed mess is a really, really, really soft, almost rex-like fur.  She’s normally a semi-coarse furred bunny, with the really soft stuff only between her ears.  Now, her entire butt is velveteen and solid black versus her normally banded hair.  I’m not particularly concerned and figure this is probably her undercoat, but was just curious if anyone else experiences this, too.  I’d love for the super-soft butt to stay around, but I’m sure she’ll probably get her normal coat back at some point.

That happened to me but the other way around. Mocha usually has a really soft coat, but this time it grew in pretty course.

While Rumpus usually has unsoft fur and has really soft fur right now.
