Hey everyone! First things first, I don’t know if this is the right place to post this thread but it involves bunny care, so I think it’s right. Anyways, my room is super hot and I only have two fans in my room, though they both work really well. I was just entering my rom when I saw my little Oreo breathing rapidly, so I decided she was too hot. So I put one of my mobile fans in front of her cage and sure enough she cooled down. But then my room got hotter so more changes were made; I took an unused food dish and filled it with ice and put it in front of the fan. I am also freezing a stuffed animal since I read that bunnies will snuggle with cold things when they’re hot. Any more ideas to cool her down? This is pretty much all I can think of but if there are any more ideas I will appreciate you sharing them with me! Thanks!

Thanks so much! I don’t know how I didn’t see that.

Mine love frozen water bottles and tiles, this year they also had aircon but previously I have used a swamp cooler and it seemed to keep the temps just under the safe range and offer them some respite from the brutal Australian Summer.

My bunnies have little personal clip-on condo fans. They are made for dog kennels. I turn those on and put a frozen water bottle a few inches in front so the fan blows the cold air. It seems to work. You can also take a cold, wet (well wrung out) towel and drape it over the front of a fan. And when it gets really hot I like to use the “cool ear turban”. Olivia hates it but Bindi will tolerate it. Makes me feel good to do all I can to keep my buns cools. We’ve been having some major heat waves here.

I love those LPT… Was going to go that way then I moved them into the bunny room and got the aircon for all of us.
