        Hi all,

Just over a week ago I got my female spayed. All went well and she seems to be recovering quickly.
Her dominant behaviour seems to have calmed down, she was never particularly aggressive, my only issue is she will not stop digging her litter tray.
She did this occasionally pre-spay but now it can be up to ten times a day. As soon as I sweep up, she does it almost immediately. It’s not just digging, she spreads it around on the floor and lies down in it (which is making her and the cage smelly), and the strangest thing is, as she is digging she will pick up the wooden pellets one at a time and place them back down again. She’s doesn’t seem to be eating them, just mouthing them.
Any explanations?! Please tell me that this is all hormone related and she will calm down! It’s so messy and I’m getting through a lot of litter.

Try a litter tray screen. Rabbits like to dig.
