So, due to my dog moving the bunnies xpen all around to try and eat bunny poops, my dad was forced to actually make a base for their xpen. (I’ve been asking him to help me for months, because I suck at building stuff, I’d probably cut my finger off, otherwise I’d have done it myself. ) Anyway, we had everything we needed and I thanked my dad for never throwing anything out (Including a 4×8 chloroplast sign that we had for a business we owned that closed in 2005, a perfect fit to go over the wood once cut!) and for only ever buying untreated wood. Once I have the money, I’m gonna buy a rug for them, but for now I’m using a blanket (It’s not shown in the picture since I needed to wash all their blankets.) But the bunnies are happy and no longer angry with me for moving them into their old cage for a couple days while my dad procrastinated building the base.

        Price to build it all:

        Untreated Wood: 0$
        Chloroplast: 0$
        Screws: 0$
Happy bunnies: Still working on that bit.

Wow! That looks great, it definitely gave me an impulse to improve the buns set up!

Thanks everyone! I actually forgot I made a thread about this.  The bunnies are extremely happy in their newish pen, and the amount of hay that’s been tracked through the house has been cut down extremely! Bunnies are happy and Human Mom’s happy (For there not to be a mess of hay every 5 minutes.)

Well done!!!! I tried reducing the amount of hay coming out from the condos by putting up plastic guard rails made from corruplast but it failed horribly!

Since making the base I learned that it wasn’t really the bunnies making the mess, sure they dig they hay out, but it was actually my dogs tracking the hay everywhere when they moved the xpen around to try and eat their poop. What is it with dogs and bunny poop?

Haha, yeah, my Mom’s dog comes over and she looks everywhere to find stray poop. So nasty…

Outlaw has a relationship with my buns. Mostly he sneaks around behind them and around their pens.. except with Bonnie, the flemish. He will sit in front of her and play growl at her until she moves and leaves a poo for him… agree.. so nasty.
