As many of you know, I am bringing home a third, single bunny with my bonded pair named Napoleon. I have been told by the rescue he is really small and I am buying him an x-pen (36″ high) to live in at night. He will be free roam during the day but I want to make sure he has adequate space at night. The little nook I want to place the x-pen in is only 42″ wide so I can only put one 24″ panel in that. I was going to do a 24″x48″ cage, is that adequate? With it being 36″ high I am going to take an extra panel from the x-pen and make a 36″x24″ “second floor” as well. Is this enough room? I really just don’t want him to be cramped is all. Thank you!

24″ X 48″ is 4′ X 2′ which is the minimum recommended cage size and should be fine.
