As you can see Pepper on my avatar, he isn’t really that big, how much food should I give him. I have a mixture of lettuce, carrots, cucumber, and some kind of food that is specifically for rabbits, It is called “Padovan Coniglietty Grand Mix”  The description on that is “Compound pet food for dwarf rabbits” I think it is vitamins? But it has like tall circled greenish stuff and some kind of thing that looks like a piece os scrambled egg? and a little bit of sunflower seeds and other unfamiliar stuff, I do not have any pellets yet, nor hay.

How many meals a day should I feed him? can someone please prepare for me a routine for Pepper, I usually give him 4 meals a day like one piece of lettuce per meal or like a mixture of carrots and lettuce and the rabbitfood i acquire.

          How old is he?
Stop feeding him that mix immedietly. Rabbits are not meant to eat seeds and dairy.
You should feed him two meals per day, along with unlimited hay.
I feed my bunnies Oxbow Adult T Pellets, fresh vegetables, and all they can eat timothy hay.
Morning : 1/4 cup of Oxbow pellets, 3 cups of fresh vegetables (cilantro, red leaf lettuce, parsley, dandelion greens, etc.), and fresh hay
          Evening: Same thing
Rabbits NEED hay, and by the sound of what you’re feeding him, it doesn’t look like he is having a good diet at all. His diet needs hay and a variety of fresh leafy greens. Pellets are optional, but I feed them anyway.
          Carrots should be treats.

Check out this site, it has fantastic feeding tips!!

As Mocha said, and the HRS site will state, rabbits need unlimited grass hay, a mix of leafy green veggies (there is a link on the site which explains what are good choices) and limited, plain pellets.

            Hope it helps!! ?

I do not know his age.. Can you please be specific about the veggies? 3 cups? what size of cups? like a tea mug?

As an example, a piece of lettuce, when uncut it looks like 20 cm’s long and 10 cms wide? like do i feed him 2 of that and one carrot/cucumber for example? I do not know how to deal with cups yet, and i do not know his age, all i feed him is vegetables and this rabbitfood i got.

Make up a healthy diet for me please.. using vegetables and this mix.

Cups, meaning a measuring cup (for cooking and baking) typically by weight. For example my 3.5 lb rabbit gets 1-2 cups of veggies daily, and 6 different kinds make up that 1-2 cups.
Introduce new veggies slowly so not to upset his tummy (1 new veggie per week)

As for the tissue, he should be fine, just watch that he is still eating, drinking, and pooping. That’s important!!
Get hay ASAP as its crutial in the diet and it will help keep his tummy moving so the tissue is less likely to cause an upset.

Cucumber will cause smelly and runny poo in your rabbit. I would recommend no more of that. he’ll be ok with no hay tonight but get some ASAP tomorrow!! Thank you for caring enough for your bunny to try and care for her well.

The tissue is fine, don’t worry.

He needs hay, hay is 80% of a bunny’s diet, he can’t live without it.
Carrot is a treat, he shouldn’t have too much of it!
The mixed foods are not good, you want a pellet food where all the bits are the same. (Most people here use oxbow pellets)

Please read the diet information pages, they’ll tell you all you need to know about diet.

The problem with pellets is that i do not know the perfect measurment of a cup. is a normal tea mug okay?

And thank you guys for all the help, Pepper appreciates it, and so do I.

Errrrmmmmm….. Cups aren’t such a common method of measurement here in the UK (I’m guessing you’re also from the UK?) but you should still be able to find measuring cups at the supermarket with pots and pans etc.

But yeah I would say a med-large mug is about the size of a cup.

                              Where do you live?
You should feed the amount of how big an egg or a tangerine is.

I think a normal tea mug sounds close to a cup (just looked at the mugs in my kitchen, for reference). I did find a website that has ingredients with their cups–grams-ounces converted. For example, according to http://www.cookipedia.co.uk/recipes_wiki/Lettuces one cup of lettuce equals 75 grams or 3 ounces. Hopefully that helps.

When you begin feeding greens and how much you feed depends on age. It will help to have a rough idea of how old he is. If you have no idea, call the place you got him from. You can begin introducing greens at 12 weeks (about 3 months old). Feeding greens too young can sometimes cause issues as the bacteria in a baby bunny’s tummy is not fully ready to digests certain foods.

You were given this great link before http://rabbit.org/faq-diet/ but I suggest checking it out and following the guidelines there for young bunnies.  The routine is already written out there for you.
