OUR FORUM IS UP BUT WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF UPDATING AND FIXING THINGS.  SOME THINGS WILL LOOK WEIRD AND/OR NOT BE CORRECT. YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.  We are not fully ready to answer questions in a timely manner as we are not officially open, but we will do our best.

You may have received a 2-factor authentication (2FA) email from us on 4/21/2020. That was from us, but was premature as the login was not working at that time.

My bunny Violet had babies yesterday. She is a Holland lop. She has had babies one other time two years ago. She had four babies yesterday in the afternoon. Two were alive and two were born dead. Then today she had two more baby bunnies both born dead. What is happening? Do you think she’ll be ok? What should I do. I’ve never had this happen before. The last little she had 11 and they were all perfectly healthy. Only 8 lived though. She is a very good mother. ANd is not a first time mother. This is the first time I’ve had this happen.

Hi Heather – we do not allow subjects of intentional breeding on our site – here is our rule:

Discussions of Breeding and Rabbits as Livestock: Discussions involving intentional breeding (of any animal) and meat & fur rabbits are not allowed.

          • Accidental Litters: We do not have the experience to advise you. We do not allow ongoing threads on the matter because the information then goes out to google search results, inviting more of the same. Only a couple of members have some experience with this, but we are unable to make sure the advice given is reliable; we are not a site or forum that has a wealth of experience in this matter and it would be better for your bunnies to find reliable resources for pregnant/nursing does and their babies. Please visit Resources and scroll to “Oops Surprise Litter”. Other forums like Rabbitsonline.net, that cater to a broader range of experience, may also be of help. And of course, be sure to seek vet care and advice. Do not post pictures of the litters unless you plan on keeping them.(or whichever one or so you plan to keep). Do not use the forum to give or sell bunnies as well.

I am going to lock this thread and suggest you go the the Rabbitsonline.net forum for further help.
