I’ve got a question about Baytril. Biscuit has been on a twice daily dose now for 5 days, her last dose will be tonight. The vet is treating a sinus infection. How fast does the medicine usually work for your bunnies? She seems to be sneezing a lot less, although her nose is still a little wet. Her front paws don’t look messy. Her vitals are fine. I’m wondering if I should take her back to the vets?

Sorry. I don’t know what to tell you about your meds. I’m just wondering what the heck breed that bunny in your picture is. Looks like a lop angora but I don’t think that’s a breed ha ha. I’m really curious

I’m not sure either to be honest! Lol my aunt says she’s a lionhead lop. When I did a Google search on that, I found several that looked like her. But I’m not sure. I personally think she is the Easter bunny and Chewbaccas love child lol

It does tend to work rather fast, but I don’t think a 5 five day dose would be enough to treat something like this. I have always gotten around 2 weeks worth of baytril (for a variety of illnesses). I think I would call the vet and ask them if you can get a few more days of meds.

Same here. Bunny infections can be very stubborn.

It normally works within the first three doses, but keep up with the prescribed amount. It’s an antibiotic for bunnies. Think what happens when you stop your meds while treating a sinus infection…it comes right back!
