So flash got spayed 6 days ago, it went really well. She’s now back to normal pretty much, but today I noticed she wouldn’t come
Out of the cage. It’s been open all day and as soon as she comes out she jumps back in, she also has been almost hiding in her hay hutch. Not sure
If this is her hormones calming down from the spay, it’s been really hot today maybe it’s that ( I’ve had a frozen bottle in her cage and her fan on all day) or maybe she is just having a day? I’m not sure at all does anyone have answers?

Something similar happened with my Holly about a week after her spay as well. I was never really sure why she acted that way (I also thought hormones) but after about 2 days she stopped and returned to normal. I’d say if she’s still eating/drinking and pooping normally just wait it out and see.

If its just one day she has been like this, and is still eating/pooping, I wouldn’t worry. After a bunny gets spayed sometimes the dissipating hormones can cause them to act oddly. She might also just be tired.

Right after I posted this she ran out of the cage and was active for a few hours! I guess just the hormones calming down!
