A couple days ago, I dropped the container that held Alfies Oxbow pellets, and half the container of pellets filled the floor. I swept them up back into the container because his pellets are somewhat expensive but the only thing i’m concerned about is that cat hair is mixed in with the pellets now  I pick out as much as I can before I give it to him, but will this harm him? I’m a bit worried and don’t want to buy another bag. Thanks!

I would have thought that if he lives near the cat/s and goes on the floor everyday where cat hair would normally be, this won’t be a problem as he is in contact with cat hair everyday anyway. Rabbits ingest their own hair constantly and are able to pass it so hopefully this would also be ok.
Cats are super clean and groom theselves like rabbits do so it is probably clean hair ~ if you know what I mean..

Do you have a hair dryer with a “cool” setting?

Spread out the pellets on a clean raised surface, blow across and over the pellets with the dryer on it’s cool setting while stirring the pellets up. The light fluffy cat hairs will blow off, but the heavier pellets will stay on the surface.

Wow Eepster that is smart.  Never would have thought that one up in a million years.
