        Hello fellow bunny huggers!

My husband and I have been smitten with bunnies for about 3 years now (although I feel like we have always had buns!) It all started with me wanting to get a guinea pig and my husband deciding he’d rather have a rabbit. So after a lot of research, we decided to get one. Our first bunny was Bruno. We happened upon her in a pet shop and it was love at first sight. That was 3 years ago. We have opened our home to six more buns since then. Let me just say, it gets a little hectic here sometimes! We have 2 bonded pairs and 3 singles who are neighbors and playmates. Please allow me to introduce our warren.

        Bruno and Harley

Bruno (left) is our oldest bunny. She’s kind of like the bunny matriarch. Harley is her boy toy. They were a love at first sight pair. They are practically inseparable, even while they’re out playing. Even though Bruno is just a giant ball of fluff, Harley keeps her fur knot-free. They do almost everything together, including planning/executing “prison breaks” from their cage.

        Roxie and Caesar

Our other bonded pair is Caesar (left) and Roxie. They’re an odd couple. Roxie tends to be a bit crazy and often pins Caesar down to clean his eyes (practically gnaws them out) and then proceeds to hump his head. She also sometimes grabs a tuft of his fur and runs around the cage with it. Like any good husbun, he puts up with her most of the time. But he lets her know when he’s had enough. They’re not as lovey dovey as Bruno and Harley, but they’re a good pair.

        Obie

Obie is our rescue bun. He had been neglected/abused and we got him through a local animal shelter. He was a stained matted mess when we brought him home, but he has become quite an adorable bun. He’s our deep thinker. He sits upright very straight and lays his ears half way back (kinda looks like a vulture) and sits like that for several minutes, like in a trance. Then he shakes his head and relaxes. He does not handle change well. He gets scared of new food (new greens and such) He’s a very sweet bunny though.

        Hazel

Hazel is our biggest bun. We think she may have some Flemmish in her. She’s very affectionate with us, but she doesn’t seem fond of other buns so much. She is neighbors with Obie and Biscuit. She does well being out and playing with them, but causes a stir when they end up in the same cage (she likes to wander into Obie’s. He’s not usually happy about it.) She’s bossy and demanding and loves destroying things. She also has a favorite playmate – one of the cats!

        Biscuit

Biscuit is new in our home – she has been here less than a month. She is very small and there has been some minor issues with her digestive system. But she is much better now. We don’t know much about her yet, and since she’s just a baby, her personality has not blossomed. For the moment, she’s pretty passive and puts up with us handling her. I’m looking forward to getting to know her!

I tried to keep this short! I look forward to getting to know you and your bunnies!

Wow, seven buns! I am jealous, I can only imagine seeing them all out playing like a warren. They are all so cute, but omg Harley! And those ears on Biscuit!

Welcome to BB! And more pictures, please!

Wow! You guys have been overrun with buns– in a good way. Funny how you guys were picking between guinea pigs and rabbits as well. We were about to get a guinea pig (my OH’s choice), but I watched a situation unfold and brought home a rabbit (my original choice) who needed a little TLC instead.

We have indeed been overrun by bunnies! Sometimes I think “How the heck did we end up with 7 bunnies?!(and 4 cats!)” but I’m so glad to have them all. The house is never boring. My husband and I are both disabled, so the furries give us something to focus on.
