I just brought Alfie home from the vet. He seems to be doing fine-eating some cilantro, basil, and pellets atm. I haven’t seen him drink yet. He’s a bit scared of me (which is different), whenever I get too close he hops back into his kennel.

Right now, I have his small kennel (a layer of towel at the bottom, with a pillowcase for a blanket because it’s light and small) inside his xpen with another towel and blanket, a water dish, and a bowl of pellets with cilantro and basil.

I saw him grooming his testicle free area, should I stop him when he does that? I guess what I’m asking for is just youre post-neuter experiences and what I should be doing. Sorry if this sounds like a jumbled ramble, I don’t want to do something wrong.

Also, it’s summer here. How much should I worry of him being warm?

Glad he did well! It’s great that he’s eating already, you should see him drink soon. He will undoubtedly clean the area, you can stop him if you want, but I wouldn’t worry too much unless the area looks raw or red. You should check the insision daily to make sure it looks normal.
