Hi everyone, flash got her tooth suck on my wool sweater so when I approached her to help she jumped quick and got my finger to the right eye. It’s kinda open kinda closed. Anything I can do to treat at home and prevent the vet?

Unless it’s better today then, no, you need to get it seen by a vet. If it’s at all abnormal – red, swelling, closing, favoring the other eye, I’m afraid there may be damage. You need to have a vet you trust and can call because these things happen and you’ll have a bunny for many years. Best to get a good vet you like.

Seems fine today @rabbitpam no closing or swelling or redness or watering. Think it’s ok?

My bun Kieko had an eye injury — vet said it was a bruise/abrasion and gave us antibiotic eye drops. We think it may have happened during a bonding session. Vet said it looked more like she ran into something. The only way we knew something wasn’t right was that she would hold one eye half-closed every once in a while. She hid it really well.

Keep a watch for your bun partly closing only that eye. If you see it occasionally (check for the other eye being partly closed too if you see it – could be resting!), then I would get it checked. With Kieko, you couldn’t see anything wrong until the vet did stain drops. Poor thing thought I had lost my mind trying to look and compare her eyes – I must gave looked like a bobble-head to her!
