I’m thinking of switching to hay and fresh veg only, completely cutting out Oxbow+Science Selective pellet mix. For my 5.2kg weighing rabbit, can someone give me a complete list of fresh veg to cover all the nutrients and calories required? I currently feed mostly brocoli, kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, and sometimes carrot tops. I’m thinking of giving a small amount of various greens for each meal and see how that goes, and take three weeks to fully switch from pellets to all veg meal.

With pellet free diets it’s generally recommended that you feed at least 10 types of veggies each day. It’s also a good idea to weigh your rabbit frequently to insure they do not lose too much weight. You can adjust their caloric intake based on any weight changes.

I suggest you read this from the House Rabbit Society on a pellet free diet:

The list you are asking for doesn’t really exist. The caloric needs of each rabbit is different. If you’re wanting to switch to pellet free I would suggest doing research on it and consulting your vet. If you don’t live in an area with high quality inexpensive produce it can be pretty expensive.

There are a couple members here that have done pellet free successfully so I would also suggest doing a forum search.
