They did pretty good, but I’m glad it’s over. It took 7 days from door to door.

Lilly stopped eating almost immediately (just bits of litter and cardboard), but bounced back after three days on the road. They got into a horrid fight the second night. Jeffrey bit almost through Lilly’s lip, but she didn’t need stitches. They were separately immediately, which is unfortunate because I want them to comfort each other through the ride.

Jeffrey is in a terrible funk, she’s just not eating well. She’s picking. In fact she’s reminding me of a rabbit that’s lost her bonded mate. I don’t want to take her to the local vet because the car ride will traumatize her further. She’s eating just enough to keep her gut moving, if her appetite doesn’t improve in a couple of days I’m going to seek out a vet that does house calls.

I’m just glad we’re all in one piece. Today, I have to make another long drive down to Boston. My cat and 4 hens are flying…. the definitely got the better end of the deal!

Wow – you must be exhausted yourself. Hopefully Jeffrey will bounce back too. Glad you are safe and sound.

I hear you   It took Cotton about 3 days to bounce back.  Thought I would have to take him to the vet too.  One morning I got up all the pellets were gone.

Greens have you tried greens?  You probably have.  Thats all cotton would eat and at nite only.  Then he started picking at his pellets then one morning all the pellets were gone.  Hope this helps

Could be the long car ride that has your bunny not eating.  And unfamiliar territory.  Hope they  get better soon.  Eating well and get along again

We’ve driven the Al – Can three times, always with our zoo, and twice with a small child. It’s a gorgeous trip, but loooooooooong! How are your bun’s doing now?

They’re much, much better. These local farmers markets saved the day…parsley, dill and mint seemed to open up a floodgate of hunger.

Now they are eating EVERY.THING. I’ve never seen rabbits inhale food like this. I can’t even get the salad tray into their areas, they are literally knocking it out of my hands to get to it. I think they’re making up for the week that their appetite deteriorated!
