How do bunnies deal with builders and the noises associated? They showed up this morning and are going to be renovating the bathrooms for about 6-7 weeks apparently they started up with a really loud, high pitched saw so I packed Harvey into bunny prison and took him into the spare room where I could muffle the sound a bit better, but he can’t spend the next 2 months like that

Last year they renovated the apartment on one side of me for almost four months (they took out everything, drywall, etc.). Now, they have started the apartment on the other side. It’s an old building – the sound really travels.

My rabbit doesn’t care. It took him a couple of days to adjust to the noise. It is M-F, 8-5!! My cat, on the other hand, is unamused.

He should be fine, though not thrilled.

If your rabbits are scared you can provide them with extra cozy hiding places, like a sheet draped over a chair; and some background noises-like radio or the TV.
Honestly though we have been renovating for well over five years and they’ve never exhibited any stress-not with nail guns or saws, in or out of the house. Certainly we’ve been given the stink eye, for disturbing their sleep; but no stress -like hiding running or thumping at all.
