My bunny Billy for about over a week now has had a drastic change in behaviour. He is normally very hyper and happy, running circles around my feet and following me everywhere. Now he just sits in one spot all day. Not eager to run behind me or even play. I took him to the vet last week and they told me he’s healthy but maybe a worm out was needed since he never got one. He’s about 8 months old. When he got the worm out I noticed three tiny but long red threadlike worms in his poop. I was relieved he pooped it out but he is still sluggish and still not playful. He got the worm out 7 days ago. His behaviour didn’t improve. Yesterday however I noticed one side of his nose was runny. Only one side. His eyes aren’t. I don’t believe he has this runny nose when I took him to the vet. It developed a couple days ago. So I don’t know what could explain his change in behavior. I’ll carry him to the vet again to treat this runny nose problem because I don’t want it to turn into something serious. The fan was on him directly for two days which could explain his runny nose.
He is eating and pooping just fine. But he seems so tired. What could the problem be? He was so playful before. Please help.

Hi Chloe, Sounds like a mild infection so a vet trip would be a good idea… If it is an infection and it’s treated early it would reduce the cost and the length of time for recovery… I would ask them to check his teeth too…
Does your bunny get plenty of hay ? and is he desexed ?

I agree that a vet trip is in order.
