I’m adopting this bunny I they said it was a flemish and that’s my dream rabbit. But now the rescue is saying she is a New Zealand black.
She is 2 yrs and 10lbs plus. Is there anyway to find out for sure. What do you think she is

          Could you post a picture?
Usually flemmies are bigger than 10 lbs, but she could be a mix.

I think a New Zealand and Flemish are both gentle giants – don’t rule her out if she is a New Zealand – they aren’t as popular as the Flemish and I really don’t know why but they are just as large and lovely as a Flemmies.

She could be a NZ (new Zealand) or a small flemmy. Or some large breed mix. There probably isn’t a way you’ll know for sure, but if you’re interested in a large breed rabbit, it sounds like this one fits the bill.

Can you post a picture? Sometimes you can tell if there is a hint of one or other other by looking at the face shape and ears. Flemmies tend to have larger ears and a broader face. I agree with the others though, the bunny could be a large breed mix.

Those breeds are very similar looking, so guessing can be hard. Flemmies ears tend to be a bit more over sized.
