So my wife and I took our very spoiled lionhead to the vet I have a check up prior to her getting spayed. She always took comfort on my shoulder an was “her spot”. After the vet did her check up they warped her in a towel to sex her to make sure she is a she, and ever since she is standoffish, doesn’t want picked up, doesn’t want to play, and when we do convince her to come out and play she isn’t a cuddle bug like she was the day before. This has been on going for almost a week. HELP!!

That is odd. Usually bunnies do get mad for being taken the the vet, but they usually don’t hold a grudge for a week…
My guess would be she just happened to begin “bunny puberty” at the same time she went to the vet. Would explain the less-than-friendly behaviour.
Besides that, I guess she is just really mad?

Have you tried giving her some of her favorite treats? One of my buns likes to hold grudges for several days. Like LongEaredLions says it could also be bunny puberty as well. I would try treats and see if that helps. I wish I had some better advice. Rabbits sure can be confusing sometimes.

Yup tried all that. She has had all kinds of treats. There are times where I sit down she runs over to me getting ready to jump on my lap but then remembers she is mad. This morning she didn’t want bothered at all and she usually (past 4 months every day) would sit on my shoulder while I eat breakfast. They only thin I know to do is to go through the whole getting her to trust us again process.

A week? Is that all? I gave Henry a flea treatment 3 months ago and he still won’t tolerate me! LOL!
Yep, it happens Cmyoung…. Just start again. Jokes aside, I picked Henry up for his Birthday photo not long ago and thought I’d get the butt for days, but he was all good that night. Yet, I was being serious when I said I gave him a flea treatment when he was young – it took forever for him to forgive me and get over it? My hubby REFUSES to pick Henry up under any circumstances, he doesn’t want him not to like him, how dumb (clever) is that, cause he’s seen Henry ditch me more than once for ‘having’ to pick him up. It just happens……
I’m sure it will all be good again with patience and time. Cheers Cmyoung.

Stickers ignored me for 2 weeks after her first vet visit. They have long memories.
