        Hello everyone,

I’ve been having this problem on and off now. My other buns are fine when it comes to using the litterbox. However, I always have this one rabbit that fluctuate with her litter habits. To answer a future question, yes, she has been spayed (3 years ago). She used to be really consistent and clean with it comes to her litterbox habits (pooping + peeing in the litter box).

Once in a while, she will start spraying and peeing EVERYWHERE, then it’ll go back to normal again. It’s been three months straight now that she has been peeing where she sleeps, all over the floor, and I even found pee sprayed everywhere on the wall near the rabbits’ cage. What’s going on? Now, one of the other rabbit (this one is spayed too) is starting to pee everywhere as well. And usually, this is the cleanest rabbit – I’ve never had any litterbox problems with her. My other rabbits are having to deal with the consistent pee-drenched floor of their cage, even with cleaning their home two times a day!

Does anyone know what could be the cause of this? Anyway to solve this problem?

        Thanks!

Have either of them seen a vet for a possible problem?

          How old are they?

The last time we saw the vet was in November of last year, but he never mentioned about anything wrong with them. He thought it was because I didn’t provide enough litter boxes for all of them, but I do. The one spraying the most is almost 4, and the other is 2 years old.

How many boxes do you have?
Do you keep the hay in the litter box? It can sometimes convince them to use it.
I would perhaps take the bun who started it to the vet and make sure nothing is wrong before you try to fix the behavioral aspect of it.

I have 5 boxes in their current home, and yes I do put hay in them. And okay, I just made an appointment today, I hope they know what’s going on. Thank you!
