        Hi everyone!
I just bought I new litter box (the medium size one from binky bunny store). My old litter box was open in the front so my bunny didn’t have to jump to get in. Since I bought my new litter box, he won’t go in it and just do his business next to it in his cage. I was wondering if he was just lazy or maybe he just does have a clue. Thanks for your help.

How old is your bunny? The reason I ask is many arthritic bunnies have trouble getting in/out of the litterbox.
Other than that, I would say he is either being lazy or upset with the environment change. You could put his pellet bowl in the back of his litter box to help tempt him in.

He might be sulking with you, if it isnt an age problem as mentioned before. What I did to show my rabbit the new poop zone was to put a few of his dry poos into the litterbox, and fill it with some hay. That way he knows where to go, and can even have a munch while doing so!

He’s going to be 1 year old! I’ll try to put some hay and pellets inside Thanks a lot!

Also, if he pees outside the box, soak it up with a small tissue and set that into the litter pan as well. Sometimes they need to recognize their scent as their litter place to go since the pan smells different than before.

Yep… after Merlin peed on a fairly treasured quilt I ended up chopping the bit he peed on and putting it in the litterbox. No accidents since, apart from hormone related things so I guess it was worth it!
