        Hello everybody .

I am new here, so sorry if someone has written/asked about this before ..
I got my female rabbit sterilized 3 weeks ago, and two days ago I bought a baby male (10 weeks old) .
I put him in a cage close to hers for 1 day, and the day after I let them meet in a “neutral place”.
But she is all over him!!! She is humping him everytime he moves. I think she also wants him to hump her.. But he is too scared and none agressive to say “no” to her, so he hides in a corner and wait for her to stop..
if I stop her, she can eat next to him and lay next to him, she is just all over him when he is moving around “too much”..

She doesnt bite him or anything like that .. And he likes to move around when she is calm ofc

Are her hormones not out yet maybe ? .. What to do ?

I wouldn’t really start to bond them until the male is neutuered. He will become really dominant and he’ll want to mate with her.

How do you think she wants him to hump her? She may just be being dominant.

You need to get the male to start being a little more less shy. Put them on top of the washer while it’s on, or take them on a “calm” car ride in a carrier together.

I have two bonded rabbits (male and female) and they were best friends at first sight (after BOTH being fixed) and soon got “married” lol. Some rabbits just don’t work out together though

It’s not generally a good idea to bond rabbits unless all bunnies involved are spayed/neutered + 4-6 weeks for hormones to dissipate. I would put bonding on hold and try again at least 4 weeks after your male bunny is neutered. I know it’s hard to wait but bonding intact rabbits can end up being pretty dangerous as hormones make behavior unpredictable.

I would read up on bonding while you wait. He is a great article on bonding:
