  I was sitting here watching Blueberry, my daughter’s cat, groom Pond. I was snapping pictures, thinking Pond was enjoying the attention (even though he hates me). He was sprawled out, eyes closed, perfectly still. Then Blueberry walked away, and Pond didn’t move. He was flopped, slightly awkwardly, eyes closed, ears akimbo… and he didn’t move. I panicked a little and shook him. Oh boy, the glare I got! Blueberry put him asleep by giving him a bath. And now he hates me even more.

  I don’t think Pond hates you…. It is probably the usual contempt of master for slave…. and we all know how that feels.

  Oh no, lel, he hates me. Earlier today, my daughter and her friend were petting him in his cage. I walked up and he turned around and ran. I walked away and he came back for more attention. He loves the cat, is interested in the dogs, even likes my husband. I don’t know why he hates me!
