Hello everyone. I currently have an adult neutered male Flemish Giant named Monsoon. His bonded pair, Roo, recently passed away and I decided to get him another bun friend. I got a baby male Californian. As he is still very young, he has not been neutered yet. However, before I brought him home, I put them together and they seemed totally fine. They were laying together and Monsoon seemed to like him just fine. When I brought him home, Monsoon seemed to not like him as much. He tolerates him but as soon as the baby goes to ‘his spot’ (the area by the kitchen in which he is ALWAYS sitting in) Monsoon will start chasing him. I set up a bonding area in a different area of my apartment and that seemed to go okay for the most part. Any advise on territorial bunnies?

Bar them from the kitchen for a while until they are bonded. The kitchen and Monsoon’s “spot” have his scent all over, so he is more territorial because he thinks it is his turf. Let them hang out in a place that Monsoon doesn’t typically haunt. Charlie is 2 years old and neutered and Cadbury is 6 weeks old and not neutered and they got along immediately when I put them in a new doggy bed I got them. They both like to cuddle and lounge. But if the neutral territory doesn’t work, shove them both into a carrying kennel and go do errands and take them for a car ride. that works for my territorial girl bun.
