My poor bun Mr. Hyde got worms. I took him to the vet on Monday and got him Sulfatrim. He’s been fine all week on the antibiotics, but all day today he’s been incredibly lethargic. He didn’t do anything but lay around at all during his playtime today. He’s still eating and drinking, but he’s just not acting himself at all. Anyone else have this while your bunny was on meds? Or is this something I should be worried about?

You should call the vet that prescribed the meds.

I’ve never had a bunny on worm-medication, so I don’t know how they are supposed to react. Sometimes dogs can get very sick from worm-medication when the parasites start to die, if there are many parasites. Anyway, please call your vet and ask. Better safer than sorry. They shouldn’t charge you for asking about meds they’ve prescribed.

Many vibes for Mr Hyde! (((((())))) Please report back!

I would call the vet and ask if this is a side effect of this particular medication.

Thanks so much for the help guys. Hyde is doing very well and is over his worms, and back to his happy bouncing self. I’ve gotta say, I think I’m most grateful for knowing how to tell bag fakes though
