Hey guys! So its been pretty hot here in Oregon the past few days and I don’t have AC in my house! I’m wondering what’s the best and safest way to keep baby Bella cool? She can chew through just about anything so I don’t think a frozen water bottle would work as she may chew off the plastic. How do you guys do this? I just don’t want her getting too hot! Thanks

Luckily I do have A/C, but I try not to put it on (our electricity bills are HUGE here in Oz!) till the dog’s and Henry start panting, but am extra precautious with Henry till I do. Henry is a ‘chewer’ but he has never tried to chew through the ‘frozen’ bottle, maybe it’s too cold for his teeth (brain freeze)? Or maybe he gets that’s it’s to help cool him down? Try the frozen bottle and just keep an eye on Bella. Also place the fan where it will blow air on her area along with a wet towel over her house. I’ve also heard of BBer’s using ceramic floor tiles as they are cool for the bunny to lay on, and some add ice to their water bowls. Give this a try Wonderlandbunny78, and I’m sure others have more great tips to add. Cheers.

And it’s going to get even hotter! Here in the PDX area, we’ve been rather toasty. Frozen water bottles, fans with cool damp cloths in front of them to blow the cool moist air around, ceramic tiles chilled int eh freezer and rotated out, frozen fruit as treats… try a bunch and see what happens. Mine hate the frozen bottles, but love the tiles and fruit
