So, I was thinking, I feel like I know some of you lovely folks quite well because I see you on the forum everyday, but I don’t actually know that much about your lives!

I was hoping we could do a little thread so I can find out a bit more about everyone?!

So for instance, where you live (roughly), your age (if you’re an adult and you don’t mind sharing? ha!), your families, your jobs…?
Obviously if you don’t want to share that’s fine, but I thought maybe it would be nice to have a better idea of who we all are!

So me; I’m 19 (nearly 20!) and I live in central London (UK).  I’m a student as SOAS, which is a really quirky university, but I love it! And I do Study of Religions. I have no idea what I want to do with my life after uni  but it’s okay!
I have two parents, an older brother who is in law school, and a boyfriend who is a chef. Oh, and I identify as a Christian.

I really hope some of you indulge me so I can know more about you!

              Great idea!

People in general call me ‘Elle’. That’s my official shortname but not my real name

              I’m 28 years young.

              I live in Belgium

I work in the capital Brussels. I’m a policy advisor for education, mostly so for our pupil guidance centres. I’m planning to grow some expertise in student/pupil participation.

I’m not a big fan of religion so let’s not talk too much about that. I believe in people and bunnies!

Looking forward to get to know more of you all!

I’m Sophie. I’m 20, and I live in Ontario, Canada with my bunnies (Bailey and Lola) and my boyfriend (Luke). I’m currently enjoying my week and a half off of school between graduating college last Thursday and re-starting university next Tuesday. This is my second take at university. I really hated my program the first time around, so I took some time off to figure out what I really wanted to do. And by time off, I mean I took a creative writing college program for fun. Now I’m going to be studying English Language and Literature through Queen’s University via distance education (online courses). I’m hoping to be a professional blogger someday. Since whenever I tell people that’s what I want to do they have no idea what I’m talking about, the gist of it is that I would write blog posts for companies/organizations to help boost their image with the public. I’m also considering social media management, which means that I would run the Twitter, Facebook, etc. for those companies. Ideally, I’d like to work for the WWF in Montreal, but that’s way into the future!

I currently work for a company that brings animals to birthday parties, libraries, community centres, and sometimes religious celebrations, to teach the kids about the animals. It’s really fun and cool, and I really like it. There’s a bunny named Nala that comes to shows with me, and I call her my work bun.

My mom, dad, step-mom, younger brother, and younger sister all live a couple of hours away. I miss my siblings like crazy! I only lived half an hour away until March, so I’m still getting used to not seeing them as often.

                  Neat!
Sophie, working for that company sounds like fun

I’m Christiana, I’m 23, live in south Texas, I work from home as a freelance artist & mostly do true-to-life pet portraits currently working on a rat terrier portrait! My art was not getting any business really at all for a while there & was basically broke trying to apply to many other places but out of nowhere, I now have quite a few commissions lined up!

I identify as Christian, I have both my parents, 3 brothers, & enough pets; 3 dogs, 2 bunnies, parrot, & a cat. Strays & other creatures also tend to find me a lot so I love rescuing animals & either finding their homes/new homes, nursing them back to health, or taking them to wildlife rescue, this includes a baby duck once someone randomly handed me one day xD Always thought that someday it would be nice to have something like a mini shelter of my own so I can better care for animals that come my way but not sure if that will happen

Still living at home but I do hope to save up & get my art going so I can get my own place where it will just be me, my bunnies & my bird :]

Hi! I’m Katie (Kate for short) I am 34 (really?! when did that happen?) I live in IL with Albert and our dog, Semoa. Oh yeah…I have a husband too! LOL! We don’t have any kids (human kids anyway).
I am a teacher. I’ve taught 1st and 4th grades. I just accepted a job teaching middle school art for next school year (Yeah!!). It will be my 11th year teaching (again, when did that happen?!).

I am painter in my free time. I shop entirely too much and I’m obsessed with all things fashion and beauty and bunny! Ha! If Albert would let me paint his toes I just might! Heehee!

                    Sophie, that company sounds awesome!
                    Mimzy, Yay! fellow artist!

I love this idea Tessie. I especially love that we get to communicate with others all over the world! How cool!

It’s so much fun!  I love it!  Unfortunately, I don’t have guaranteed hours because my hours depend on people booking shows.  So sometimes I’m really busy, and other times (like right now) I live mostly off of rice and soy sauce except for when my boyfriend pities me and buys me some real food.

Mimzy, that’s so cool that you do freelance stuff.  I’d like to do freelance writing, but I’m not exactly sure where to start.  I’ve pitched a few articles, and I’ve been published a few times.  But it’s tough!

I’m a tap dancer, I hope to one day start some sort of bun/small animal rescue…Uhm…Oh! I also love fashion! I agree with you(Forgot who said it, i was skimming over the posts), If it was safe to paint a bun’s nails, that would be me! Haha! I can’t really think of anything else right now.(And I’m being rushed off the computer~sigh~ siblings)

I’m Stephanie, 32 and live in New Brunswick, Canada with my husband and fur-babies. Two bunnies, Bindi Loo and Olivia, two cats, Savana and Andy and my horse, Winnie, who doesn’t live with us, she’s boarded at a stable about 10 minutes away. We have a human baby on the way.

I love doing crafts, mostly embroidery, horseback riding, reading (historical fiction mostly. I’m a huge history nerd, especially Tudor England). I love nature and am a long-time vegetarian. I also really love music. My fave bands are Slash and Alter Bridge. I’m a total candy junkie and am seriously addicted to coffee.

I love horse riding, reading, writing…and anything with paws and fur! I’m originally from Staffordshire in England, but we made the move to Aus in 2012 – best decision ever! This is fun! Everyone is so diverse here, its really nice.

Well, my names actually Kathryn, but I prefer Katie. I’m 23 and live Philadelphia, Pa. I’m currently a Biology student and work at a small pet store. I have one bun Holly, two bearded dragons, a western hognose snake, a cherry foot tortoise, one cat and one dog! Yep, quite the zoo. LOL

As for religion, I don’t really identify with one. I tend to focus on a more “do onto others” mantra instead.

Random tidbit- I have an obsession with cosmetics and skin care and frequently order in bulk online from different countries.

Sophie… I have a friend (and his wife) that does freelance writing on the net, and has also made money writing books for download on Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. If you’d like I could hook you up with him, and I’m sure he could give you some great tips. Message me if you’re interested.

I’m Melissa and I’m 41. I grew up around the Chicago area, and now I live Minnesota.
I was a CNA for 16 yrs. I worked in nursing homes and hospitals. I LOVED my job.
I have 2 “kids” 18 and 19. One lives at home and the other doesn’t. Oops! I also have an 11 yr old step-son that came to live with us in Feburary.

In my working days… I loved to play (electric) guitar, play video games, and write poetry. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Lupus, and I’m now disabled. It is what it is.
I’ve always had a zoo of my own, so to speak. Right now we have 4 cats, and my new bun, Butters,(Flemish Giant) that came home 3 weeks ago. I’ve been too tired to post pictures of him, as of yet, but he’s a lover, and 9 weeks old this week.

I’ve been starting to make some wood and sisal toys, as a hobby. I made this….

                                     photo imagejpg3_zpsf1d5d118.jpg
the other day, and I’ll be making an activity table next. Although I think it will be a bit, because this last project took a lot out of me. Lol I’m stubborn and I push myself too hard sometimes.

Little known fact about me… I used to be a Cosmetologist in my late teens early 20’s… And I always wished I could have been an Archaeologist.

My name is Sandra I live in Oklahoma.
I am 41 and am married we just had our 23 year anniversary the other day.
We have one son who will be 22 this summer and a grand daughter who will be 2 and a grand son on the way.
I have 2 rabbits ,2 cats and 2 dogs. My family asked me if I had an arc I was building to put my animals on. They tease me because I love animals. I really do.
When I was younger I want to be a vet or at least a vet tech but I was lucky to only have to work a little bit because I really enjoyed being able to watch my son grow up and be a good house wife which what I have done the majority of my life. I am very happy. I know it probably sounds really old fashioned compared to everyone else. hehe
I enjoy spending time with my family and of course my fur babies. I like to do gardening and taking walks in the park with my husband.
I like a lot of different types of music. I am different from everyone I know because I listen to mostly Korean Pop and some Japanese rock. I get kind of bored with the same old same old stuff they play on the radio. I also enjoy Korean dramas.

My daughter listens to J-pop and now K-pop. I say good on you!
And congrats to you and the hubby on 23 years!!!

                                          This sounds like fun! XD

My name’s Katrina, but I often go by Kat. I’m 20, and am atheist, even though different religions interest me. I just finished my last year of college about a week ago, and I’m never going to school ever again. I currently work part-time at a coffee-shop, and am looking for full-time work as a salesperson (ideally selling advertising space). My boyfriend and I have been together for a while now. Almost two years? I have a horrible memory, and forget our anniversary date, so it’s his job to remember. -.-

My passions lie in the realm of uselessness. I keep a collection of stuffed animals on my bed. I love bunnies and anime. I recently found an anime about bunnies. I also enjoy art, but am not usually that good at it. Every now and then I can surprise my friends and do something cool. I like crayons.

Hello! It is really fun reading about everyone.

Im 24 years old and am originally from Ohio in the US but have lived in DC for the last two years and just recently moved back from Berlin, Germany where I spent the last 6 months. I work mainly in women’s rights nonprofit sector and will hopefully soon be transitioning into some kind of federal job whIle also looking at work in Australia and work back in Berlin.

When I’m not making myself crazy thinking about my career I can be found doing crafts on my floor while watching a movie and yelling at my bunny Dottie when she runs off with a paint brush or starts to shred a ball of yarn im knitting with. Apparently my toys are way cooler then her toys. Lol.

                                              Oh how fun!

My name is Jami and I am 24 years old. I live in Niles, Michigan, and still at home with my parents. My older brother just moved for work in Marion Indiana last year. I have my fur baby Lulu who will be four this summer. And something that very few know about me, I am a birthmom. I made the selfless decision to chose adoption for my child because I wanted the best for her. Plus I couldn’t allow the birth father to control us. Anyways her name is Harper Nichole and just turned 2 months on the 25th. She lives in Montgomery IN with her amazing adoptive parents. We are all a big family now. I can’t describe the sorrow I have somedays by not having her but I know that she is having the absolute best life possible. I get updates all the time and have such a great relationship with her adoptive parents. I can’t wait to see her soon!!

I am a born again Christian but I show love to everyone regardless. I am a licensed cosmetologist in IN and I work at an awesome salon. I love reading. I seriously could read all day if Lulu would allow it. I’m a Lucille Ball fan and I love music!! Favorite bands include Evanescence, Eluvietie, Avenged Sevenfold, and many many more.

Now that I am a mother and have gone through such am incredible journey I have such a different outlook on life. So many people have such little problems in their loves and they place so much emphasis on it…lol I’m referring mainly to people I know. But their are just much more bigger issues that people have to go thru. I now feel like I’m being called to help with other birth mothers who are choosing adoption and for those even seeking to have an abortion. There is such a need for adoption and so many people don’t think of that.
I also still want to start a Bunny sanctuary later on. So much to do so little time!

I think that about sums it up I think.

Having a baby certainly changes one’s life and outlook on life. I think you did an amazing thing. I know how hard it must have been but sometimes we have to do what is best for our little ones. It shows just how much you love her. I am glad they let you have updates and know about her life. Adoption is a great thing. I have a niece and nephew who are adopted. They both have the same birth mother. We love them just like the rest of the family. I hope you can help others it sounds like a great thing to do. I hope you can open a bunny sanctuary as well. I would love to do something like that or at least volunteer at one. In Oklahoma ours is around 3 and half 4 hours away so I cant. I am waiting for my town to finish building our new animal shelter and I have hopes work there.

Katrina an anime about bunnies sounds fun. My husband and I watch anime from time to time. I bought a stuffed bunny and some small blankets for my grand daughter from a Japanese collection called San-x Sentimental Circus. There are a few characters but I like the rabbit from the collection. I used the blankets a lot but kept the stuffed bunny because its really cute and my grand daughter just isn’t really old enough yet I think to play with it. Anime bunnies are cute to me.

Melissa thanks for the congrats on my anniversary!

Everyone sounds so nice and its fun to hear about everyone and their work, school and hobbies.

Jami good for you! It is so admirable that you gave your daughter, and the adoptive parents, that gift. I’m also glad to hear that you get to be part of her life. How special that your daughter has SO many people to love her!!! I have two adopted nieces.

Lol I have to laugh at everyone and their bunny sanctuaries. I would also love to do that. Though sometimes I wonder if it’s an excuse to have more buns! :p

Thank you for your kind words it definitely is a sacrifice.

Oh and I forgot to mention! I love Japanese culture! Have a collection of anime and manga and even learning Japanese, which is an incredible hard. Love J-rock such as L’Arc en Ciel.

And I do archery in the summer

A sacrifice yes… But a sacrifice out of love. Anytime you feel sorrow… Just try to remember the positive. For you to do what you did shows character, strength, love, faith, and selflessness ( just to name a few).

How long have you been doing archery? I’ve always thought it looked like fun.

Haha, everyone with the rabbit sanctuaries! I think it is an excuse to have more buns I’d probably have one too if I could

Definitely an inspiration, Jami. It’s wonderful you get to have updates on her & still be involved in her life! I know that has to be tough sometimes. I love archery too! Don’t care for compound bows at all really, I have a recurve but I haven’t been able to shoot for a while because I don’t have a finger guard so it ends up hurting after a short time of shooting :/

Katrina, that sounds like me, I love stuffed animals used to have them piled on my bed all the time as well as a whole book shelf filled with them now I have them put away, can’t decide which ones to keep or donate lol, 2 containers full & many trash bags full of them now I just carry a  few little plushies on my purse

Its nice to hear you are learning the language I have heard it is very difficult. I would love to learn myself but doubt I would pick it up. I have been wanting to do archery for years. I bugged my husband about it many times I thought it would be a fun hobby for us to do with our son. We haven’t done it.

And a big ‘HI’ to everyone who is also sharing on this forum (great thread Tessie!) it’s SO nice to meet you all AGAIN.

ME? Well, I’m sure a few of you know me already – I’m Andi, the chick with the naughty rabbit (Henry) and I talk too much! LOL! (I hope I haven’t annoyed to many of you YET?). I’m 46 and live in Queensland Australia (the only state that bunny’s are illegal). I have 3 kids, daughter 26, son 24 and another son 22, and I’m extremely proud of them ALL! I worked until my middle child Blair turned 18 (he was born with down syndrome when I was 22 – his disability is intellectual) in job’s where I was ‘seen’ to be super clever. Once Blair finished school I couldn’t access care for him unless I paid for it and after doing the sum’s it was more affordable for me to give up work (dumb! I know). Having not worked for the past 5 years I have lost my skills (and cleverness) but have become the best female handyman, ha hah! I now have an established garden all from the tiniest/cheapest plants, have painted my house and because I can’t afford to replace my furniture (lack of income) for a $10 can of paint, my household items (almost) look like new? Lol.
I personally am not religious, I’m a bit like Katie (779) – do onto others….. but have a huge appreciation for everyone different, regardless of what that maybe. I also have a DRY sense of humour (sorry about that), and when something is bad I try to find the positives or the funny side of it.
Gosh! did I just talk toooo much again? Ooops! Sorry – ha ha ha. Cheers everyone.

My mother also lives with us. Both my son and my husband draw, sing, and play guitar, and my son also plays bari, tenor and alto sax’s as well as keyboard. I couldn’t draw a straight line or carry a tune if my life depended on it!

Gosh, such a variety of people here.

I’m 32, but I feel 22. Part of that is because I didn’t get a very good start after I graduated high school. I ran away with my boyfriend and “never wanted to go to school again”. I spent several years working in retail, until I realized I was never going to get anywhere. So I went to college. It took me awhile, but I now have a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in environmental studies. Now I’m a grad student, all-but-thesis at this point. My masters will be in human dimensions (natural resources). And as you all know, I’m still struggling to gain experience in my field.

I still have my boyfriend, but now I call him my husband. We have our buns, of course. And our dog, who is getting pretty old (15!). She has been with us since shortly after our relationship began. It’s crazy to think about.

I don’t seem to have time for hobbies. Right now, I work as a naturalist, but I do animal care as well. If you hear me talking about “my (fill in strange animal here)”, it isn’t really mine but one I care for. When I’m home, I like to catch up on BB and my favorite TV shows. My husband and I have been watching a lot of stuff lately. Continuum and Orphan Black have started their new seasons, so we have to make sure we watch those. I also spend time reading, but it tends to be for my thesis rather than for pleasure. Oh the joys of journal articles!

So let’s see… Sandra I love all of Hyde’s work. I even have a movie that he and Gackt had starred in. Don’t know if you’ve heard of it but it’s called Moon Child. I actually have a friend who learned to speak the language just by watching anime and movies in the original form and from just one year of taking it in school. Lol hope I have an easy time like that.

On the archery note I started back in 2009 but kinda stopped because of time and work and school at the time. Last year I did it every week though. One of the families at my church opens their home and property up and has an ‘open archery night’ every Thursday, weather permitting. It’s so nice because even if you don’t have your own equipment you are able to borrow theirs. My best friend, of almost 20 years, and I do it together. It’s so much fun! Lol we feel pretty cool when we go…very LOTR like

Lol Andi I always love chatting with you and reading your posts. Whenever I’m having a particularly emotionally trying day I like to come on here. Reading everyone’s stories about anything and everything always put a smile on my face

I am happily married for one year on May 14. I am a vegetarian and I love small furries. I am ruled by my almost 4 bunnies, and 4 guinea pigs. I don’t live with my family, but I live near them. I have two parents and one older brother. I enjoy: reading, cooking, volleyball, ice skating, and humour. I don’t really enjoy: Facebook, ironing, untangling cords, and taco bell.

Henry’s anniversary is the same as your wedding anniversary – I would never had known that without this forum! (thanks again Tessie). And I don’t need to know where you live in America, remember I’m sharing your room at Disney in Hawaii (I’m assuming your hubby is ok with that? & we need a bun sitter while you and I are away enjoying all the rides! ha ha ha….).

Oh, and like Kate (Kbana) I should mentioned I have a hubby toooo! (Lol!). He cleans Henry’s house and ‘toilet’ so he deserves a mention…… LOL!

My daughter used to play the alto sax too Cathie (JackRabbit) while in high school. And my son is the artist, Kate (Kbana) is a fan,  lol. See, for how different we are – we seem to have something in common other than bunny’s. I just adore you ALL – in some cases a post has caused me to tear up/cry or I’ve had to catch my breath from laughing so hard. I’ve never had a ‘bunch’ of friends that could do that for me for the longest time if ever…… thank you!

PS – Amanda, I dislike all that too – except Taco Bell (never heard of it?) HA HA HA!

Edit to ADD – When I’m home alone (meaning the hubby is working night shift) and I turn my music up (so loud I can’t hear myself) and I sing along, I sound ‘great’ JR!

48, with three grown kids and a grandson. Have had rabbits for 40 years! All sizes, shapes and colors.

Was an educator for 16 yrs. Also had a traveling menagerie of animals that I did educational programs with and sometimes parties or other gatherings…including a trained chicken act!

I grew up in Chicago, lived all over the East and now live out west in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Currently have two house bunnies Schaeffer, an 18 month old male Silver Fox, weighs about 11 pounds and Sandy a 7 week old mini satin “ermine” colored little gal.

Also have goldfish and salamanders. Not working outside the home for the first time in decades, I am an artist and it’s scary and lovely to have time and space to indulge that!

My kiddos and all my family are thousands of miles away doing things like raising my amazing grandson, studying geology and working on a PhD in robotics! Yes I am bragging!

I didn’t mention before but I like decorating and home improvement projects. We just finished knocking down a wall and putting in a kitchen island and granite countertops. Our island and range hood are black and I am thinking of painting my oak cabinets white and distressing and glazing them. I asked the painters how much it would cost to have them do it and it was like $2200. That’s way too expensive so I am going to do it myself.

Do you order all the supplies online, as I guess stores don’t carry what you need? I’m so baffled that bunnies could ever be illegal lol

I’m Katrina, I’m in the Philadelphia area… I’m 27 (ugh), I have two kids, both boys, they are 6.5 and 4. I work as a hostess at a fine dining restaurant, been there over two years and love it…
I was married, and went through (never ending) divorce. I got my first rabbit, Lucky, in September 2013, and I know you all might understand…he’s just so soothing to me. I have four rabbits now (I haven’t introduced the fourth because I initially thought he’d be a foster but oh my gosh he’s so damn cute!!)
Lucky is the people rabbit though, he loves to snuggle in bed, be petted, lick my face and arms non stop. The two years until I got him were just awful, trying to go from being a stay at home mother with no college degree (I have tons of credits just no actual degree) was just a lot. Figuring out working again, school, and having the kids basically all the time is overwhelming but I wouldn’t have it any other way (okay, well I can’t wait for this semester to be over!!)

I only have four classes to go, I’m a Health Studies major at community college, I mainly go all online. I found a Health Service Administration online program at a great college in Philly, I’m hoping to get into it!

My boys are awesome, Cash and Park. And they are so great with the bunnies. We have designated a rabbit to each of us lol… Lucky is mine, Rodan is Park’s (huge Godzilla fan) , Calvin is Cash’s (huge calvin and hobbes fan) and Dozer is my boyfriends.

Not sure what to do with it yet, but I’ve been checking websites for technician jobs. A lot of them look good, but they’re across the country, and I’m not sure what I’d do with Lily if I went.

When I’m not at school I live with my parents and younger sister (younger brother moved out earlier this year). We have a ten-year-old doberman, Remus, two red-eared sliders (Sam and Luthien) and two leopard geckos (Matrix and Pizza). My sister also has an African clawed frog that her friend dumped on us, and a cockatiel named Kury.

I like to go by the name Pbe as that’s what my teammates all refer to me by. In terms of teammates, I have been a long time paddler in a sport called Dragon Boat and currently manage a recreational team; I absolutely love water (maybe because I’m an aquarian? lol). I have a happy-go-lucky personality and love being active; water sports, biking, basketball, bowling, snowboarding, you name it. I’m 28 with a masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and I work in civil service exam development for the City. Besides work and sports, I also crochet and do paper crafts that I sell online so I’m super delighted to see so many crafty members here! All things bunny in my life are inspired by my furbaby Simba And I think us bunny lovers all have underlying creativity super powers because of the things we have to make in accommodating our buns! LOL

Actually my son youngest son did Katrina (calipa_st), it was a 6+ hour round trip into NSW (state) for him to get Henry (for Mother’s Day). Sadly our local pet stores don’t sell the fun stuff (toy’s and thing’s) for bunny’s, but I am VERY lucky that a pet shop about a 20 minute drive away sells Oxbow rabbit food and Oxbow hay. I’m sure there are plenty of other QLDer’s that own bunny’s? We just don’t ‘talk’ about it. MY only concern with getting caught is I have been told the fine is $30 grand and Henry would be taken and most likely destroyed, so for us, it’s just not worth the risk, so except for family – ‘no one’ (not even close friends) know about him, ONLY family. I also have an exotics vet 30 mins from home who gave Henry his wellness check and neuter. He said he had treated a few bunnies, not lots and he was so good – he told us stuff I never thought to ask about Henry, so he knows his rabbit stuff and for all the rest I have BB and all you guys to THANK!
PS – And Pbe (mijOok – you posted on another forum – gosh I hope my memory doesn’t let me down????) – I got my Henry about a year or so after my toy poodle ‘Molly’ passed away too. (sorry if I remembered wrong…..).

I absolutely love them and use to have a paint 🙂 they are the best (next to bunnies of course…and dogs). And BunnyLady1989 you are so awesome lol, born again Christian 😀 SO happy for you! Love to hear when that happens.

And WHAT a PhD in robotics…That. Is. Crazy. COOL… HAHA  you’ll always have a job!  and the  sky is the limit!!

And you guys were taking about adoption, ah and alternatives to abortion (sorry there’s so many people I forgot who originally brought it up) but that is awesome! Abortion makes me angry. My best friend was adopted, and a have another handful of priceless friends that were adopted. Adoption is indeed not thought about enough.

I am a college student and want to travel on medical missionary trips because I went to Ethiopia a while back and fell in love with helping people. We don’t know how blessed we really are. Do you guys own shoes? You obviously have internet and electricity… I don’t know all your situations but the kids I saw over there just broke my heart and that’s what I want to do is just help 🙂
And I’m in love with Jesus <3 so if anyone wants to talk about that I can do that for days 🙂 He's my whole life.

SO I’m pre med then eventually off to 3rd world countries. I have one bunny (for now hehe), one mini pin dog (at my feet right now lol) and an orange tabby cat. I LOVE riding horses and volunteer out at a barn because I miss my horse 🙁 I do see him sometimes though. He was a black tobiano paint- absolutely stunning. Ahh. I live in east USA, and usually listen to Christian music. I Casting Crowns, Tenth Avenue North, For King and Country (from Australia!) I’ve seen all those in concert and I also love Matthew West, Toby Mac and Third Day and on and  on haha all those guys are great. And I obviously have a spot for animals 🙂 but  don’t we all here? I was a vegetarian but wasn’t doing it right and got sick eh my fault… but vegan! WOW good for you guys that’s hard to do! Haha I’m just a poor  college student with no money…and the money that I  do have goes to my pets lol no more $ for  good food for me -_-

Good to know you’ve got resources. We still need to find a way to smuggle in some cool bunny toys to Henry though! That’s terrible that they would fine you and take Henry. You would think that since Henry is an indoor bunny and being well cared for (except for letting him drink coke and eat dog food!) that there would be exceptions. Let’s get everyone from BB together and hold a protest march on Q-land and get that law changed!

And I’ve been a Christian officially for 14 years and grew up in a Christian home. Even went to a Christian school my whole life. If you read my story then it was me who brought up the abortion topic. In my hometown the abortion clinic is no longer in operation, thank God! But our pregnancy care center gets many people who are seeking an abortion. One of the head ladies who work there, also goes to my church and I plan on getting with her to discuss if they can offer doors to adoption also. Instead of just teaching ladies that abortion is murder and they can make the choice to give birth. Adoption is the most difficult decision to go thru, but in the end the good will always outweigh the sad times.
Sorry this is long but after going thru this it really pushes me further to educate people about adoption. I chose adoption for my child and I never once regretted it. It’s such an amazing thing, and it brings families together from different walks of like. Our two families are now one

People are just too self centered to think about adoption. No way BunnyLady1989! Keep up the awareness lol I don’t mind your long posts.

Anyways, I am 25 and live in Pittsburgh, PA with my boyfriend of almost three years.  I moved to Pittsburgh three years ago from New York when I met him and am so happy I did.  I have really found a life for myself here and I absolutely adore the city.  While in New York, I was big into all things politics.  I’m a hardcore Republican and politics is actually how I met my boyfriend (though we have both gotten out of political jobs).   I got a job last year in health insurance doing workers’ compensation and became hooked.  I have been promoted to actual position handling claims now (which is really exciting for me) and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Business Management to help further myself into a Management role in the future!   I also am addicted to coffee – I could definitely give LPT a run for her money!    My boyfriend and I got into rabbits when we decided we would like a pet.  We own a condo but we’re not supposed to have pets.  We both wanted dogs (which is impossible for obvious reasons) and my boyfriend is insanely allergic to cats.  One day, his boss mentioned how they used to have a rabbit.  And told me this.  So we googled rabbits and a few weeks later brought home our first one, which has now turned into six!  We are also in the process of considering the possibility of a seventh!   Which leads me into my next interest… rabbit bonding!  All six of my rabbits are bonded so an addition to my family would mean another addition to the group.  So last year, I began my own rabbit blog which has since turned into a mainly rabbit bonding blog.   I offer free & paid services on helping individuals bond their rabbits from all over – some cool places being English, Australia, Greece, and Ireland!  It’s pretty neat to say my bonding “business” has had international customers!     I also LOVE LOVE LOVE horses and used to own three!  I haven’t done anything regarding horses since I moved to Pittsburgh but I would love to get back into it once my schedule settles down again – so in a few years.  I also LOVE to read and I always have my Kindle with me.

Sophie, my boyfriend is also very big into social media.  He created my blog for me.  He’s always sending me articles on how to write better blog posts to appeal to users and their wants/needs.  Quite interesting.  But not something I would want to do for a living!

AndHenry, you should have been on the forums when my Tans were babies…….. I’m pretty sure EVERYONE knew what trouble they were as well, so I bet we could really bond over some of our Terrible Tan/Terrible Henry stories!  OMG, I literally sat on the floor and cried one day while they continued their crazy antics around me because I was so frustrated with them.  Sigh, they have gotten a little bit better but they are still a very unique and hyper breed.  Sometimes they really push my buttons.  I have heard/seen a lot of people say Tans are not for the first time bunny owners….. Let’s just say I believe that with all of my heart now.  We actually had a Tan come into our local rescue & I wrote a whole thing on what Tans need and their unique personalities… Sigh.

BunnyLady & GiggllyPuff, I am also very very pro-life!  I actually got into bunnies after having a miscarriage. My boyfriend and I had only been dating a month when my birth control failed, and I’m sure you all know what everyone was telling me!  I refused.  But I had a miscarriage a month later.   It was extremely difficult to be happy again but when we got our bunnies, they really helped heal me.  Even though I was only pregnant for a short amount of time….I became a lot more vocal about being pro-life.

Hi everybody, I’m Rhoda, 26 and live in London with my boyfriend of 6yrs, cat, dog, 4 buns and 2 guinea pigs. I am in my final year of an English degree and I’m also studying medicine which will mean we will soon be moving elsewhere in the uk (again!) so I can study medicine full time. I work part time at a charity, I’m open to religion and I’m obsessed with everything animal.

I also have the big dream of opening an animal sanctuary. I attempted to start up my own small animal fostering home (where we used to live) but this did not work out too well it was a strange place though.

I’m currently in the process of bonding my 4 bunbabies, I have a thread going, and it is driving me insane. They all have full control over me and my thoughts – and they know it!!!

I love binky bunny and often secretly stalk threads with the hopes of catching bunny pics (when I should be studying) and I love hearing about where all of you are from, it’s so cool to know the bunny love spreads soft far and wide

I have *zero* people to talk to about it, other than on here. Everyone just makes jokes about cooking my rabbits.. :-/ I’m like, why would you say that? I wouldn’t say that about your dog/cat. I stopped eating meat in December, I was very much anti eating rabbit once I got Lucky and was like, wait…how can I justify eating any animal? So, now I don’t!

I’m a student at a local university here in New Mexico, I’ll have my bachelor’s in nursing in hopefully two years. I work as an emergency room technician at the local hospital. I’m an artist and volunteer firefighter as well as a few other volunteer things around the community.
I’m 27, I have a daughter in elementary school, a boyfriend, mom n dad, two brothers, their wives, and 3 nieces. I’m also the proud parent to a pit bull rescue named Hades

Edited to add: Im also a huge nerd, game of thrones, harry potter, lord of the rings, comics, d&d, anime, dragon ball,  bleach, naruto, etc. I’m a tatooed, pierced,  animal lovin, shootin, video game playin country nerd lol. I was a nerd before it was cool lol so nice to see other nerds here. I love reading, drawing, tattooing, massage, meditation, and working with clay. I’m even going to have a few  of my art and clay pieces displayed in a local gallery. I’m wanting to post more pics of my buns but princess is the only one who will let me takes pics….shadow hides on anything black and there for camouflages herself and you can’t see her.

It’s so cool to see other geek culture/Japanese culture/anime fans here! So exciting. Is anyone going to anime north or con bravo this year? Also, it’s really awesome to see that other adults keep stuffed animals. XD My family (especially my dad’s side. My parents are divorced.) don’t approve. My mom just wants me to have a manageable amount, haha. I love them though. I’ve been working through them, trying to weed out ones I can donate. :p

A lot of people here seem to have dogs. I’m not much of a dog person, but my step-dad keeps one (a rhodesian ridgeback). I like cats a lot though, even though I’m allergic. It’s a bit odd, since I’ve only been allergic to cats since mine (Louie, 19 years old!) had to be put down. He was really sick, would pee on my head (that’s where he slept) on a nightly basis. We all knew that he was old, and couldn’t be cured any more. It was tough, but we knew the time was coming for a long time. My boyfriend has a cat (Sam), and I’m not as allergic to him as I am to other cats. I can push my face into his side and not get all itchy. :p

I also really love reptiles, though I don’t own any. I love lizards and snakes especially. My boyfriend prefers to keep a distance, so it’s probably good that I don’t have any of my own, haha. XD

Since a lot of people are on the topic of adoption, I’ll throw in my two cents. It’s really awesome that you, Jami/BunnyLady, found something that worked for you and your daughter, especially when there are so many people looking to adopt. I feel like you must be very brave to find a way to protect your child like that. I know that I personally would be unable to do that; I don’t think I could handle the sorrow that you spoke of. Though it seems to be an unpopular opinion here, I would opt for abortion, although I’m hoping I never have to. My mom and step-dad have been trying to get pregnant for quite a long time now. I know my mom’s also looked into adoption, but the process can be a difficult one. I’ve always liked the idea of adopting some day. It’s hard to see what the future holds though. XD

Another Katrina! I always feel like I have to compete with other Katrinas or they’ll replace me, lol. It’s very cool to meet you though! Bunny friends! I have made a couple of bunny friends at college. One has her rabbit living with her parents, while the other is less of a bunny person. He lives with his girlfriend, who IS a bunny person. I’ve never met her. I’ve met a couple of rabbit people at anime conventions. Does anyone here attend Anime North or Con Bravo?

When making this decision, my happiness or well being never crossed my mind. It was and always will be, her well being and her happiness.
Adoption is so difficult to do on both sides. I know Harper’s parents have had such a difficult time, and it can be very expensive. With us though, it seemed as if everything that had happend was just meant to be and in perfect timing.

Lol I had a few opportunities to go to an anime convention with my friend but it never worked out with money and getting off work and school, at the time. They look fun though!

I have a co worker who also has a bunny, but sadly I don’t like to talk to her about some things. Unfortunately she isn’t the best rabbit owner…she just upsets me because she won’t buy hay for her bunny, will not neuter him, and she feeds him inappropriate things such has people food that we shouldn’t even eat. Her philosophy is, “if he likes it and ears it then it must be good for him!” Sadly whatever I say goes in one ear and out the other… And she says she spoils him by doing all these things. She give him twizzlers for cryin out loud!

I work with snakes and turtles every day. I guess there is an argument now that turtles are actually more closely related to birds than lizards and snakes, but that’s a whole different story! LOL Anyway, I really wish we would get a lizard because lizards are so much fun. Don’t get me wrong, the snakes are great. We have some of the nicest snakes I have ever met. The turtles are super cute too and have the funniest personalities. I would love to have a reptile as a pet again. If you want something, I would suggest something that is easy to care for like a rat snake.

LopLove and LBJ10 me three lol!! I had a bearded dragon when I was 8 or something. And reptiles are cool. (except snakes– sorry LBJ10. i cant do those). But my dragon was an AWESOME pet. I recomend those. He just sat on my shoulder while I did homework or chores. And I was little so I was probably loud haha and he was good about it. They indeed have personalities. I’d like to get another one some day.

I never had one though. I had a monitor lizard as a pet a long time ago. He was a mean little thing. And the death stares he would give you! OMG, it was like he was staring right through you.

You know, my son was given a blue tongue lizard years ago (LBJ, by my uncle), and I really hated it – not the lizard, just that it wasn’t injured/sick (didn’t need human intervention) and felt it should be free to enjoy it’s life in a natural environment, and not that my uncle knows, but I set it free (told him it got out). I have found 2 more blue tongue lizard’s in my yard/garden and as much as I admire them (and take pic’s to share, like my owl, hah ha!) I had no urge to make them ‘pet’s’. Before anyone says ‘but you have a bunny’, remember our bun’s are domesticated. I’ve had pet budgie’s (free roam) and have dog’s, but only kept a lorikeet cause he was disabled (twisted feet and couldn’t fly) and needed human assistance to stay alive, and when I was ‘given’ a perfectly normal healthy one, again I let it go and told the person it ‘got away’. I’m in no way being critical – I know most of these are bred for pet’s, but I personally can’t do it.
And the snake thing…. My problem in Australia is not knowing which are the poisonous one’s! (and ours are deadly). If I knew, I’m sure I wouldn’t be so afraid and in turn they wouldn’t bother me just like the lizards. Until then, the hubby (mostly) and myself will continue to scream like little girls at the sight of them. LOL!

PS – That’s why Henry was free roam ‘even’ when he was spraying us   I couldn’t stand to have him locked away while the dog’s were free throughout the house – so another thing BBer’s know about me now, I’m a sucker!  when it comes to my pets (babies), LOL! Oh, and I have NO problem with pets that need to be caged/restricted, I’m in no way suggesting I frown upon that, I don’t!  We just appreciate having a bunny waking us at 4am  – NOT! Ok, were not sucker’s – just stupid!

Hmm… Well I join BB years ago after I found a rabbit in a park. She wasn’t my first bunny, but I was scared she was pregnant. She was, but she lost the babies. I had her up until last summer when she started have incontinence problems and I had to make the hard decision to send her over the rainbow bridge.

That was when I was probably around 18. Since then, I have had a long term boyfriend who is currently in grad school as a physicist. No, I don’t understand anything he says anymore. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when I was 19. It wasn’t terrible, but I no longer have a thyroid, and my weight kind of got out of control. I have lost about half of what I gained so far, and I am hoping to lose the rest this year. Less than 30 lbs to go! I graduated with my bachelors last May. In that time, my boyfriend and I have moved in together, and celebrated 5 years, but I haven’t done too much since as far as working. Where we moved is pretty rural and I have not been able to find something that is in line with my degree (museum studies/art education). I just got my substitute teaching permit last week and have orientation at a local school district this week. I am pretty nervous because I have never really worked. I had an amazing internship at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but that isn’t the same as managing a classroom. Unfortunately the school my boyfriend is attending doesn’t have any masters program I would qualify for or be interested in or I would probably be doing that. I would love to earn my MFA, or go back to school and learn Spanish so I can be a full time teacher, or take child development classes and work in special ed. I know ASL, and used to work with a downs syndrome coalition when I was in my teens, so I feel like I would be more comfortable with that.

For the last 2 years my boyfriend and I have attended Comic-Con in San Diego. We have a great time, and can’t wait for this year! I am trying to figure out who/what I want to cosplay as. We both enjoy video games, though none of the same ones. Haha. I have lots of pets: 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, 1 tarantula, and 3 fish tanks. I recently started gardening, and I spend a lot of time trying to fix up this old house we are living in. I also try to keep up my art. My main focus right now is sand blasting glasses. I got a commission to do the wedding party gifts for a wedding this summer.

I could probably keep going forever, so I will stop now. If you made it this far, congratulations!

I think we could get along very well KytKattin!

I studied Art sciences at uni and I also have a teachers’ degree. I wish you lots of luck! Managing a classroom can be so challenging. I always thought after graduation that I was still too young to teach because of my age. It was a barrier for me to get in front of a classroom because I felt a little too closely involved with teenagers. I don’t know if this sounds weird or not . They don’t need a friend, they need a teacher! So I decided to do something else.

I followed an internship in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the Magritte museum here in Brussels and now I occasionaly freelance as a guide there for certain groups: Children with specials educational needs, people with a mental of physical disability, kids – teens & adults who are new to the country and had to escape from war etc.,…

A museum needs to be there for everyone and that’s really something I will fight for. It’s so great to see another prejudice you had just fly out the window because you keep an open mind. I love talking about art with these groups because they always see and know more than you think.

For my fulltime job I work for education policy that specifically targets children with specific needs (ranging from educational to personal). We are currently working on a new structural system for inclusive education. So that’s very challenging!

My boyfriend and I have been together since highschool (it’s been 11 years now going on 12 years) and we recently bought a house together after living in a rental appartement. We are not married though. Somehow it seems weird. I don’t seem to need the validation of an ‘I do’. It just seems so insignificant after all this time together and all we’ve been through.

XD I googled rat snakes just now. They look awesome! What makes them easier to care for over other snakes? Is it their temperament and size? I can’t see me getting one in the very near future, but that would be really cool some day. Maybe that’s something I could do in a few years or so. Thanks for mentioning them to me!

I knew someone in High School who apparently fed their rabbit chicken nuggets? Though I have a hard time believing that a rabbit would eat it. I don’t know what possesses people to feed animals junk like Twizzlers and such. It’s so much fun already to feed them the things they’re actually supposed to eat. If someone really believes that they’re not harming an animal, they won’t stop regardless of what you tell them. Or at least that’s what I find. I’m not always the best in social situations like that. I bet there are other members here who would have some useful advice on how to handle that appropriately and effectively.

I usually cosplay as the same character over and over again because putting together a costume can be so time consuming and expensive. XD I’m going as Mello from DeathNote. My boyfriend and I also like video games (again, different ones), and tabletop games.

Ellekke: My mom and step-dad waited a very long time before they were married. Actually, about as long as your current relationship, haha. XD They waited mostly because of money, but it ended up being a very nice small wedding. More like a fun party. I never really understood the importance of weddings. If you really love someone, and you’re going to stay with them, what’s the purpose of getting married? I think it’s more for the benefit of family and friends. If/when I get married, I want it to be more like a party with lots of pastries. :p

I thought that was the coolest thing ever until I saw it. Wild animals really need to be kept outside. It just seems cruel otherwise. And I wouldn’t touch snakes either if I thought doing so might kill me! XD I would have thought that you’d learn the difference between poisonous and non-poisonous snakes in Australia. Are there too many to identify? Too many similar ones? Or maybe you don’t want to get close enough to identify them properly if they happen to be deadly. XD

I am going to be 36 on May 14. I have been married for 2 years (in July). My husband is in the Air Force. We live in North Dakota. He has been all over but I am from here and have never lived anywhere else. I have 2 teenage step children (one boy, one girl) that live with their mother in Nevada. We have 2 puppies, a 2 yr old (in July) yellow lab named Tiny and a 2 yr old (in Sept) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Hobie Baker, a bearded dragon (age unknown) named Rango that I am ashamed to say I am deathly afraid of touching (I know he’s not going to hurt me I just can’t make myself do it) and Lola our 2 yr old (in Aug) bunny. When I met my husband (4 yrs ago) I had an in home daycare for almost 10 years but was finding myself tired and drained all time and I didn’t enjoy it any more. So I quit and tried a few different things (nanny, receptionist at a car dealership) but my husband had to have back surgery about 6 months before the wedding so I quit to take care of him during his recovery and never went back. I am now a stay at home mom to 3 furries and I love it. I love to crochet and knit. I was taught by my grandmother when I was about 10 or so and have been doing it ever since. I can make just about anything out of string or yarn. I can make my own patterns and figure out patterns to a piece that I’ve found/bought. I love making baby blankets and eagerly wait for friends and family to have babies. Sometimes it’s too long so I have a trunk almost filled with blankets waiting for owners. Thinking about opening an etsy shop to sell them just not sure how to go about the taxes and stuff. I spend entirely too much time looking at BB and not nearly enough time cleaning the house and doing laundry. It’s a good thing he loves me so much !

AndHenry ~ Lola isn’t a free roam bun for her safety around the dogs. Hobie loves her and would be fine but Tiny is so big and rough when she tries to play I am too scared to let them be around each other yet. I am hoping that when Tiny is a little older and a little more mellow (please let her mellow with age!!!!!) she can be free roam. We have to put the dogs in their room at night and when we are gone anyway because they are chewers of all things mine when they get bored. But I am like you…Lola has a huge 3 level bunny condo with an x-pen that literally divides our living room in half. Her cage is never closed so she gets half the living room to run around in all the time plus I open the pen and let her run around for about an hour in the morning before I let the dogs out and again before I go to bed. Sometimes if the dogs are outside in the afternoon I will block off the door to the kitchen and she gets to run all day. All this even though she pees everywhere! How could I lock up that cute little face?!? So shortly after we got Lola we also got a carpet cleaner and now the carpet gets cleaned once a month at least. The poor dogs are probably wondering why they never got away with that kind of stuff. What can I say? the bunny face gets me everytime!

Those you would find in the US are not tropical snakes so you’re not constantly trying to keep humidity levels up inside their enclosure. You just need to keep them at an appropriate temperature, which isn’t hard with a heater and a lamp. They tend to be small and easy to handle. They are gentle and get quite used to being picked up and manipulated. All of our snakes are educational animals. I can hold them while kids pet them and they really don’t seem to mind. I have never been bitten by a rat snake either or had one act aggressively toward me.
And yep, I guess people were doing DNA analysis and it showed turtles were more closely related to birds than reptiles like snakes and lizards. I guess some of that makes sense. They have beaks. LOL I also find that (at least our) turtles behave in ways that are very different from snakes. They can be very picky when it comes to food and they all have these strange little quirks that are unique to each individual.

Common sence people… -_- and ohh! Yeah?what kind of bearded dragon did you have? I got mine when I was little and named it Spike. Original enough? We took him with us on a road trip and had him on the dash while we’re were going through the mountains of Cali and he was just chill’n, it was quiet and he was having a good time looking out the window. All of the sudden a bird pooped right on the window where he was sitting and I just heard: bloop…hisssss! Haha! He got all puffy with his beard and hissed at it. Lol, hilarious.

Another 2 in college… No se espanol… I don’t know why it never stuck. Maybe because I didn’t really have my heart set on learning, just for the grade. I would love to learn Italian though, I’m about 50% Italian, and I’d like to learn Hebrew so that I could read the Bible in the original text… I’ve heard Hebrew is hard to learn though :-/

What makings did yours have? With the floppy ears or pinned? We’ve actually had 5 minis lol. Mine is the bestest though! 🙂 <3 yeah I've have just about everything too lol, dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, hamsters, turtles, frogs… Haven't gotten into birds though. I'm afraid that they'll outlive me and that there will be no one to take them 🙁 my grandma use to have a tiny blue parakeet though. He'd come sit on the kitchen table and beg for bred. 🙂

Growing up in California, there are lots of people who speak it, and it is just everywhere. I moved more south, so now it is even more prevalent. The little town we moved to is probably somewhere around 50% Spanish speaking, maybe more, so I definitely need to learn! My grandparents actually lived in Australia for a few years, long before I was around. Other than that, I have fond memories of Steve Irwin on TV growing up. I really want to visit some day! My tarantula is such a good girl though! I have had her for about 8 years now, and actually got her to help get over my arachnophobia. I really appreciate her as a creature, and no, I don’t hold her. That actually isn’t advised as if she were to fall she could mortally injure herself. Plus it’s not like she wants to be held. I consider her a “look, not touch” pet, just like a fish.

@Ellekke: No, not weird at all! I am kind of freakishly tall, and have been since about the age of 12, so even when I was in high school (even though I was home schooled…) I never felt like I fit in with most people my age. I started taking classes at my local community college when I was 15 and no one even questioned my age. I feel like I must look a lot older than I am, so hopefully I will just stay the same and look somewhere between 20-30 when I am actually 50! Now a lot of my friends are closer to 30 while I’m 23. That is really great that you are able to work in a museum. That is where I really want to be, and once my boyfriend graduates I hope to be able to get back into it. My dream is to work at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. My boyfriend and I had a kind of weird start to our relationship. He asked me out when I was 15, and I went, but then I ignored him for the next two years. We officially started going out when I was 18. There is a lot of pressure from our families for us to get engaged. He wants to finish school first. Idk what might happen. I think I will propose next leap year! That is so great that you just got a house! It is so much nicer than renting because you have more freedom with what you do. Though if something goes wrong you have to fix it yourself!

@LopLove: Yes, I always try to cosplay. For Comic-Con, the first year I went as Callie from the now cancelled Ugly Americans. Last year I went as Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, while my friend was Sailor Moon. It was cute and fun to do a gender swapped character, and most people still recognized me. I did put a lot of effort into that costume, but the shoes were TERRIBLE, and it was overall uncomfortable to be in for 4-12 hours of standing in line. This year I want to go as Lara Croft/Tomb Raider. It is an overall simple costume, but I want to be in good enough physical shape to pull it off, since I think that is what will really sell it. Plus it should be a fairly comfortable costume for all the line standing. I am not sure what to have as a back-up costume though if I’m not in shape enough. I had to look up Mello, and that looks like it would be a really fun character to be! I bet your costume is great! I currently am playing a lot of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I finished my Pokedex except for some event legendaries for Pokemon Y. My boyfriend and I play Magic the Gathering, but that is about it for games we play together. I have a 360, a 3DS, and a gaming laptop, he has a gaming PC. What games do you play?

It is pretty easy and comparative to Spanish. I enjoyed it and I don’t like Spanish lol. Hebrew is difficult. I do have a hang for Latin though, and I love it even though it’s considered a dead language. And of course Japanese. I love speaking Japanese!

The dragon wasn’t mine (belonged to a cousin), and even though I love them, I don’t actually know a whole lot about them. I thought there was only one kind! XD

KytKattin: I think my costume is pretty good. It’s enough for people to recognize me. I chose a bad costume for the summer though. XD Since it’s black and covers the majority of me, I sweat pretty quick. I also take chocolate as a prop, but it doesn’t last long if it’s a really hot day. The shirt exposes a portion of my belly, so I can understand the needing to get in shape before costume day hits. :p It’s cool that you’ve cosplayed as such a variety of characters! I stick to mostly handhelds, so I use the 3DS and PSP a lot. I play pokemon (generations 1 – 3, and 6), BlazBlue, Kingdom Hearts, and Spyro. For tabletops, I’ve gotten into Dungeons and Dragons, and that’s all I do on a consistent basis. I have a lot of other video games that I haven’t started yet because I play so slowly. I can drag out some games for a couple years. I play often, but I really take my time with them. XD My boyfriend has been involved with awesome tabletop games longer than I have, so I just join in when he plays. I’ve played Zombie Dice, Settlers of Catan, and some other cool ones that I can’t remember the names of at all right now. o.o I also play the pokemon card game consistently. As for videogames that I play with my boyfriend, we’ve played World of Tanks (I die a lot), and Octo Dad. Have you ever heard of Octo Dad? It’s about an octopus that’s really obviously an octopus, but he somehow has a wife and a family and everyone thinks he’s human.

A ratsnake is definitely on my wishlist now. Someday… >.< I was talking to my mom about this, and while I don't remember, she apparently tried to get me to want a pet snake when I was younger, which, at the time, I was not interested in. XD Funny how interests change!

But that’s because 1) I don’t understand it and 2) I use to date a Spanish guy and it ended in the worst possible way. But holy COW- are you kidding? Awesome. I’m so glad to hear that Italian is easy. You took and online class? Why level was it? I’m not good at online classes. Wouldn’t that be hard to tell if you are pronouncing it correctly? I heard Rosetta Stone is awesome and really works but its too expensive for me. I know if you go to the country you can pick it up… Ohhh well! I guess I’ll just have to go to Italy! Darn! Ohh my friend is trying to learn Hebrew to read the Bible. Latin?! No way! That’s really neat! Who do you talk to?

There are a few different colors, there’s a white and red then the original… I’m sure the names are more official lol. Yeah they are cool pets. They just chill. I had to feed mine crickets and we put them in protein powder before we give them to him (alive) haha it was fun to watch him get then with his tongue. 😛

I never got into horses.  Which is weird because my dad was one of those that always wanted to buy his little girl a horse. I always said no.

I also waiting until my graduation before moving in together with my boyfriend even though he was already working for 2 years by then. But he waited for me. Even through all those exam periods when I didn’t let him see me because I needed to concentrate  . I totally get the pressure from family and my surroundings though! You always get questions like: “When are you getting married? (and in my case) When will you have a baby?”. And I’m like: “Uhm….that’s none of your business!” . It seems like just because I’m 28 I have to start getting children now because it’s expected (tick tock tick tock) or I should’ve had a pair by now. But right now my bunnies are my babies! (And I have three nephews and three nieces to love and I’m godmother to one of them. <3)

I speak Dutch, English and French. I have a basic knowledge of German and Spanish. I took 6 years of latin in high school but I think that increased my understanding of languages.

In Belgium we have three national languages: Dutch, French and German. It’s part of a looooong history in forming our country and if you see our neighbours today it makes more sense: France, Germany and the Netherlands. But Belgium is descendant from Gaul and the Belgae, a group of Gaul tribes. It was Caesar who said that of all the Gauls, the Belgians are the bravest. He suffered one of his greatest military defeats because of us and I think that’s something to be proud of. Eat dirt Caesar!!

Hope it’s not too late My name is Aneta, I’m Polish but live in the UK. I’m almost 35 now so I lived in a communist country for a bit, fond memories only as I was a child. I have a BA in “English as a foreign language teaching” and an MA in Postmodernist Philosophy. I worked as a teacher for a few years but gave it up, I hated it. I do landscaping now and love it. I love reading, mostly 19th and 20th century British and American novels. Kurt Vonnegut is my favourite writer. Amazing man and novelist, witty and wise. Sartre’s my philosophy “hero.” Music wise I am a massive fan of Greg Dulli, an amazing American. check him out, you won’t regret him. For the British contingent, he’s on Jools Holland tonight with Afghan Whigs I’m a big fan of The X Files, Six Feet Under and Twin Peaks but I don’t really watch much TV otherwise, I’m very impatient and get bored easily.
I got interested in bunnies after watching wild ones living on a roundabout grass on the way to work every morning for almost two years. I spent quite a lot of time researching. Adopting Bud and Hannah was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m very restless and impatient and they calm me down. I love squirrels too. That’s about it, nice to meet you all

You showed them? Mine was adopted from the mini pin rescue so she doesn’t like other people but is pretty enough to show :-)’they actually found her a while back in the rubble from hurricane Charlie around the Georgia/Florida area. She was terrified of humans and men especially…we think that she was abused and was only a year so she still has some ptsd issues 🙁 the vet told us that she probably had puppies and we figured that she was for a puppy mill… which I Can. Not. Stand. That makes me. So. MAD. So she doesn’t get out much but I try to socialize her as much as she can stand for. She’s a really great and smart dog. She knows everything from the basics, sit, down, stay to obstacle course jumps, tunnels to walking in between my legs with every step I take.I haven’t counted but I’d say she knows over 100 commands/words/phrases/hand gestures. She’s AWESOME 🙂 haha one of the best adoptions I’ve ever made. And what? You don’t like horses? Oh it’s an awesome feeling to ride without a saddle and just run. It feels like you’re flying. <3

My uncle actually will train his German shepards, his police dogs, in German! It’s cool, but inconvenient because when you try to tell him “no” or “down” in English and doesn’t obey lol.

I played one with him off and over the years it was called Everquest. I would play some games with my son when he was living here but that was about it. I just don’t have the time and patients for games. Right now the hot game in the house is Elder Scrolls online and he is trying to get me to play but I have said no.

It’s one of the reasons we’ve had our longstanding relationship. When we were back in college and uni we only saw each other in the weekends and to fill the week we played games, MMORPG’s, to spend time together.
                                                                                                                                                                                                          And now we still game!!

If anyone else plays it, let me add you to my friends list!

For the first year, my skirt actually ripped. Last year, I ended up with blisters that didn’t fall all the way off until November. Lara Croft is made for raiding tombs, her costume must be comfortable right?! I have comfortable boots, and mostly wear tank-tops anyway. Plus I wanted to lose the weight anyway, this is just extra incentive. It is like preparing for a wedding or something! Oh my gosh, on Animal Crossing yesterday I had a bunny visit named Ruby, who is a red-eyed-white. She was adorable! I take my time with games too. I plan on playing AC for a long while yet. I kind of blew through Poke Y, but I did complete like 97% of my Pokedex. I got it in December (my boyfriend bought me a 3DS) and finished in March after learning how to IV breed and getting burnt out on people wanting my sweet Vivillon pattern. I think I have Kingdom Hearts as well… He bought the 3DS used from my sister and she sent a bunch of games with it, but I was really wanting to play Pokemon so I didn’t look at them. I did play the first KH back on the PS2, I think it was the first game I ever finished actually! I mostly play the 360 while I am on my stationary bike. I love Skyrim because I can play for 60 minutes while biking and it flies by. I have been thinking about getting Settlers of Catan with my oodles of B&N gift cards. I haven’t played, but my boyfriend has and it looked fun. Yes, I remember seeing Octo Dad at PAX, and my boyfriend showed me a video of it the other day. The controls look crazy! Oh, I sometimes play Minecraft as well. I really like the look for Goat Simulator.

@GiggilyPuffBunny: I don’t mind it too much, though I really do think I will go back and take child development classes instead. I think I would find that a lot more interesting and relevant to my future goals. Still need a little break from school though, I am kind of burnt out. My T (Octavia) is a precious little fluffy baby girl that only hurts the food she eats! Though there are some really dangerous (but beautiful) species of tarantula. My favorite, which I will never own, is a H. lividum, aka, Cobalt Blue. Love the color, not the aggression. I would love to get an A. versicolor, and name her Gobstopper, but right now more pets just isn’t in the cards. I will be getting a 55 gallon fish tank soon and need to focus on that. Really though, the more you learn about tarantulas (which are not technically in the same spider family as other spiders), the more you can appreciate them. She is also the easiest pet I have ever owned. Literally less work than a lot of my plants (especially those darn orchids).

@Ellekke: We waited too, though it was because we went to different universities, about 4 hours apart. Long distance wasn’t fun, but he drove down most weekends and I think we are stronger because of it. The biggest thing is that he made the mistake of telling everyone that he would propose after we got our bachelors, which was last year, so he is really getting bombarded. Haha. And we are not immune from people wanting babies. His grandmother keeps saying “when are you going to make me a great grandmother? Everyone I know is either a great grandmother or dead!” His dad gave us his old rocking horse and chair. It doesn’t help that he is the oldest grandchild by quite a lot (7 years). His younger cousins are just graduating from high school this month. And his grandmother was raising kids while his grandpa was working on a masters degree, so she doesn’t think there is an excuse. On my side of the family, I have cousins who are my age and have 3 kids already. I can’t imagine that level of responsibility! I enjoy my freedom, even though I think I actually lead a pretty boring life. Haha. I can’t believe how many languages you speak! I wish that the US was more insistent on teaching more than just English. It makes learning other languages so much easier if you already understand more than one.

He was playing the Uncharted series for a bit before that and the last Bioshock game before that. Those are short games though. Skyrim just goes on forever and ever.

I haven’t gotten the “when are you going to have babies?” question in quite some time. All of my grandparents are dead and my parents and in-laws know better than to keep asking. I do get the occasion question from people are my retail job, but I usually just graze over the subject and move on to something else. It’s none of their business. At my other job, people are not nearly as nosy. I wonder if many of them realize how old I am though. I look younger than I am.

Hard to keep up with all the threads! My horse is a Morgan named Riverbreeze Mystic Bay aka Winnie. She’s going to be 13 next week. I bought her as a baby and got to watch her birth. She’s a big part of my life (and my wallet! ) I wanted to attach a pic but this stupid apple computer won’t let me for some reason.

Someone asked about having bunny friends in real life. I have a couple of friends who have bunnies but don’t treat them like I treat mine (as in children, they rule the house, spoiled rotten, etc). We don’t talk about bunny stuff much. That’s why I love BB and all the bunny groups on FB.

I’m sure they’re great but I just can’t do it. Haha, I’d probably scream, drop it, and run. Not a spider fan of any species. I’m a dog, bunny and horse girl. But I do have two betta and just got done setting up their tank this week. OY who knew fish would clear out your wallet!? O_o

And one is extremely aggressive and kept getting against the divider and he got so worked up he ripped his fin and kept attacking the divider!…can you say sstuuupid! UHH, frustrating. The other could care less though. Still working out the kinks. Males are just a pain… lol not just fish!

My grandfather use to race saddlebreds and had some morgan’s too… I think lol. Horses are simply, truly, one of the greatest creatures God ever made. 🙂 I miss mine. He was a Tobiano Paint <3 so gorgeous. Morgan's are awesome too! I had a friend that had one.that is sooo cool you had her from birth!!! How was raising her!? Was she a good baby? I want to do that eventually. <br /> <br /> I don’t really have time to play video games anymore BUT…I was a crazy halo fan, and call of duty. Crushed it! Those were fun. I have call of duty for Wii and that’s cool because you can actually get a gun for the controller 🙂

I grew up in California but moved to Florida in high school for an opportunity to have my college paid for. I was going to school for my teaching degree and got into my internship program last semester (reason why I dropped off the face of BB a couple of months ago). During this time I realized that I did not at all like the way that the school system was run in Florida. So now I’m lost and have no clue what I “want to be when I grow up”. >.< So I took this semester off to just focus on work and trying to pay some of my backed up bills. I know I'll figure everything out sooner or later. =p. I'm a big nerd that likes to read and play video games. Video games is a way that I spend time with bf. We tend to have conflicting work schedules, so playing video games is a fun way that we unwind together. Lately, I've been happily drowning my life in FFXIV. =]

I have four buns: Skipper, Ian, Hugo, and Tonka (all obtained in that order). And in February my boyfriend and I added two new additions. We got two kittens, Ari and Sven, who are very lively and love to tear down curtains. >.< The buns are not too fond of the cats. =[ So that cats stay with us in the master bedroom and get roam time during the day on the patio. Ari is quite terrified of the buns so the arrangement works in her favor. =]

Some big news is that within the past couple of days, due to the help of a few members from the rescue that we got Ian and Hugo from, we were able to bond Skipper and Ian finally! The process has taken a little over a year so I’m totally ecstatic. Bonding can be extremely hard when you’re not sure of what you’re doing and what the signs are. It’s a lot easier when you can have guidance from others that are seeing the behaviors of the buns.

I never got into multiplayer games other than Halo, which I played with a fairly large group of people when we all got together at someone’s house. I really have a love/hate relationship with Skyrim. I can play it, and I love it, and then all of a sudden I just can’t stand it anymore. It gets too repetitive or something. I really enjoyed Red Dead Redemption, especially the zombie expansion pack. I need to finish Bioshock Infinite, but my boyfriend lent it out.

No Comic-Con convention?! That is so sad. I had gone from never seeing a celebrity in person to seeing like 100 in a day. I don’t even know who my favorites were. Maybe Chris Evans from Capt. America? Any of the X-men stars from the new movie (and they were ALL there, and we didn’t know they would be, so we all lost our minds when they kept bringing out more and more people. But probably Patrick Stewart from that group, but they were all great). My favorite though was definitely John Noble (he was in Fringe, but he was promoting Dark Matters: Twisted but True). He was just so kind to everyone and was even signing autographs even though he was scheduled to do that the next day. Very giving to his fans. This year we are worried they are going to do a Star Wars reveal and we won’t be able to get in to see the big stuff from Marvel. Anything to do with Star Wars creates the longest lines in the convention.

GiggilyPuffBunny: I have had bettas too. Right now I only have one, though in the past I have gotten one from Thailand and have kept quite a few at a time (I like like 10). I did a split tank one time, and I can say, be really careful, dividers almost always fail at some point due to human error. They did for me, and while no one died, I decided that it wasn’t worth the risk. I also noticed that those in split tanks had significantly shorter lifespans despite being in otherwise identical set ups as my other fish. I think living next to each other is just stressful. If you can grow Java moss over the divider you will reduce their stress by a lot, but I think the hormones they release into the water don’t help. Just personal experience though, you might have better luck than me. I am currently in the process of setting up a 20 gallon tall, which will house Khuli loaches and my one betta. I am also going to be getting a 55 gallon in June, and if I can heavily plant it I will start a betta sorority. Females are so underrated. My female, which I had for 3 years, just passed last month. I miss her spotted little wiggly self greeting me in the morning. Definitely my favorite betta ever! I can’t wait to really get back into keeping fish with my new tanks!

Its good to hear you got help from the rescue. I know how difficult it can be. I was on a break from bonding mine since February. Last Friday I took my bunnies to the vet for nail trims and I wanted to get Usagi my boy a check up. I decided to use the drive to the vet as a stress bonding session and start back up. The ride went nice but they got too comfortable at the vet and when Kilala my girl was put back in the carrier I brought them in they began to fight. We had to separate them. I have tried everything I can think of to bond my 2 prior to this. Anyways I am really happy for you!

I had a couple that lived for close to 4 years. I decided to stop keeping them because of my last one he lived to be over 3 years and he got to where he wouldn’t eat. It took him a month of starving before he died I haven’t ever had that with another betta before. I really liked that fish he was a sweetheart. He also got really big I don’t know if that is normal for a betta all my others were not as big as him. They are fish with personalities. I still check them out at the store and my husband always tells me we aren’t getting another and I reassure him that we aren’t I just like looking at them.
