I have a bunny thats 8 weeks old. Does the bunny need to eat vegetables? Would a bunny be okay to only eat pellets and hay? or is it critical for them to have vegetables?

Well eventually you need to add greens – it is recommended to start adding them at 12 weeks, slowly – here is an article that you should read on greens and one on diet from House Rabbit Society:

Definitely check out the links Sarita posted. Great resources.

Vegetables are not important now, you can begin to slowly introduce them at 12 weeks. But they are necessary for full grown bunnies. Some good ones to start on are parsley and romaine lettuce.
