        Hi!,

I am a brand new bunny Mama and an avid animal lover. Yesterday my little bun, Chalupa came home! He’s a sweet little holland lop, about 5 weeks old. He seems very timid. He will let me hold him, but right now I’m trying to give him space. Is there a forum for bonding with your bunny or new bunny owners? Any advice would be appreciated!

        Thanks all!!

Welcome to the world of bunnies!!!!!!! For a few days, your rabbit might be nervous so leave him alone. You can start feeding him treats such as apples and dried fruit. Rabbits prefer to be on the floor so you can let him run around while you sit on the floor and let him sniff you. I also like doing agility with my rabbits, but if you decide to, never force him to do it. Have fun with your bun!!!

            Welcome to the forum!
We’d love to see some pictures

I agree with Mocha, leave him be for a couple of days to settle in… it’s all very new for him just now.
As for bonding, chill out on the floor and let him come to you, and if he does, give him some treats!

Have you found a good exotics vet? That’s essential.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been trying to give him space… Today he came out and ate around me, and kept standing up like he was curious. I’m going to try attaching a picture!
