Hopefully this doesn’t sound too long winded guys, but if you wouldn’t mind bearing with me I could really do with some help!

I’ve never kept bunnies before my present two, Prince and Princess. Prince has been with me now since November and is a real angel, myself and my partner work really long hours so after we had him neutered we decided to get him a girlfriend to keep him company. We went through the whole introduction process which went quite well, after three weeks of gradual introductions they were the best of friends.

She has yet to be spayed and she is starting to be really mean with Prince (she’s doing a lot of humping too!), he’s very dosile around her and has lost a lot of his lovely personality. I know she will be getting a little broody now but shes too young to have her spayed as yet and she’s started actually jumping up on to the sofa to bite me!

Any ideas on what I can do?? Thank you!!!

How old is she? Cause it’s seeming like there isn’t much you can do until she’s spayed.

Yes, unfortunately she’s smack dab in the middle of her crazy hormones so there really may not be too much you can do until she’s spayed…

If they are fighting or aggravating each other, it would probably be best to separate them now. Once she’s spayed and allowed to heal for a few weeks, you can work on reintroducing them.

Agreed. Bonding when one/all buns are intact isn’t really a good idea. All those crazy hormones get in the way.
I would seperate them until her spay as a hormone-driven fight now could have a bad effect on the bonding later.

I have the same issues with my sweet neutered Percy and my little Ms Meanie. One sec she is acting like she is being submissive and then jumps up and pops poor Percy. So I have separated mine until Furbee aka Ms Meanie is spade next month.
