I noticed chain links of poop, strung by bunny hair hanging on the bottom of his cage, and a few in his litterbox. Is this a bad thing? I never really noticed before, but now I’m a bit curious if furball poops are a common thing for a short-haired bun

He is likely going through a molt, and when he cleans himself he is ingesting hair. Try to brush him every day and make sure he always has hay. A papaya or pineapple tablet or fruit can help to break down the hair as well.

Yes, this happens sometimes… Even when buns are brushed daily during a molt, they will still ingest some fur. My girl has “string of pearls” poops on occasion. As long as the poops are passing and are normal size, this is okay.
