Since I cannot reply to PMs for some reason (the button to send the replies isn’t clickable on my computer…), just going to post this here:

Stickers URI cleared up with the Baytril and she’s back to normal. Right now, she and Powder are flopped side by side by the bird cage. Hoping it won’t come back again in a few months like last time. *crosses fingers*

                  Thanks guys.

jersey – And of course in true Stickers fashion one of her first things to do when she was feeling better was… break past the baby gate and closed closet door (it’s a sliding door on tracks, she pushed it so hard she knocked it off the track so she could squeeze through) to dig a 60lb bale of hay all over the floor of their room! My trouble maker isn’t happy if she’s not making a mess. lol

HAHAHA sounds like she’s back to her old self. Sorry about the mess though.

That’s a lot of hay, though. How big is she again?

She’s 6lbs… and yes that is a lot of hay. *frown* She spent all night digging it out of the closet, apparently. lol Luckily I get hay bales for $5

She’s always getting into trouble haha she’s the most annoying rabbit ever, but she’s cute, so she gets away with it.

It snowed two days ago and has been below freezing since, so we had to turn the heat back on. And now she’s sneezing again. Frustrating! But, it does seem to be irritated by the heater. Wonder if a humidifier would help her … ?

omg snow n freezing.  ohhhh  i know you are fed up with that.     you might try a humidifier for the troublemaker.     i hardly ever use the heater.    maybe 10 minues to take the chill out.   this apartment is warm      i put towels at the window seals keeps out drafts.

when i lived in a house it was cold n i used heater very often.    dried my nose up n sometimes had nosebleeds.

i could see stickers sneezing with heater on.  It could be a possibility

You could get humidity up by hanging wet laundry/towels around. Putting bowls or water in shelves…

When the environment can be controlled, optimal conditions include a temperature of 50 to 70°F (15 to 21°C) and a relative humidity of 40 to 60%, with good ventilation
Merck Manual for pet health: for Pet Owners

I also remember reading somewhere that humidity in the rabbit burrow was around 60%.

Interesting Jersey – I didn’t know they needed humidity THAT high. I will try to get it up in their room, I can’t up it in the house completely because the bf hates humidity, but I can make their room more comfortable hopefully. Maybe that will help her breathing. She’s always grunted a lot and made piggy noises, similar to my moms pug… so maybe it’s just the way her body is built that she’s going to have special needs and occasional URIs.
