I have had my little Peach and Shamus for about a year and a half and lately i have been feeling like their life and day is a bit depressing and not happy enough and i want to know if there is anything else i can do or give them to make life more interesting!

Their normal routine is getting up and having breakfast straight away in the morning and then either staying out to run around my room (that is pretty large) or they go back to bed with some veges if i had work or uni and then i get home in the arvo and let them out and sit with them for a while and then they usually stay out in my room until bedtime (if i dont go out at all which i don’t much).

I just feel like they are board maybe they aren’t and its just me projecting my human feelings on them.

any suggestions? i kind of feel like im neglecting them but i don’t know what else to do. They get plenty of pats and scratches and love but i just feel  like they are missing something and we need more quality tme together but i dont know how

I think you are projecting your feelings on them – if they are bonded they are keeping each other company just fine. Most rabbits just chill out during the day anyway.

Hi! I know what you mean, I feel the same! You just want your bunnies to have a good time
But sounds like they are having a good time with what you are describing.

Here’s some of the things I do:

I have two activity balls and I put their pellets in them. Then the bunnies roll around the ball to get the food out of the opening. They love it!!
            Here’s a link to what I use: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferret-Treat-Tumbler-Yummy-Ball-for-Rabbits-Guinea-Pigs-keep-them-amused-/200922423596

You can also teach them tricks for rewards? Yesterday it took me 10 minutes to teach them a little bit of agility training: following me around and hopping over a tunnel. I used cubes of carrot as a reward every time they came when I called them and when they hopped over the obstacle.

Hope this gave you some inspiration!
