We live in base housing and they replaced our dining room floor this morning. Before they left (and before I knew they were doing it) they used mop n glo on the new flooring. They said it was ready to use and safe to walk on for both humans and furries as soon as it was dry (about 10-20 mins). I don’t use chemical cleaners on the floor because of the dogs, I’ve always used bleach/water or vinegar/water. Now that it is done though I am wondering how safe it is for my bunny considering she licks her feet all the time? We don’t have any where else to let her run around because she pees on the carpet in the rest of the house.

You can look it up online (the manufacturer) and see if they have printed anything on its safety for pets.
The only other suggestion I can think to make is to keep her off the floor for longer than that – like at least 2 hours, and then once she walks on it, take a damp cloth and wipe her feet after. Once chemicals are dry I think they are safe as long as she doesn’t chew and ingest them.

Yes, I would think that once it’s dry then it wouldn’t be a problem. I suppose you could clean the floor yourself to get any residue off.

I am going to run a quick mop over it I think. I was just worried because all I could find online were warnings about residue that is left on the floor with this product and how hard it is to get off again. I hope it’s not something I would have to worry about forever now that it’s on there. I can’t even find really anything from the manufacturer about whether this is pet safe or not. Sigh….sometimes I hate renting!

I don’t know if this is helps much, but ammonia takes off Mop N Glo.  If it’s regular Mop N Glo, it’s just a cleaner that leaves a shiny residue that builds up.  It’s not a sealer so if you want it gone . . . just make sure the bunny is in another room away from the ammonia smell and rinse the floor well.
