Finally got my own apartment with my boyfriend, and it’s bunny approved! We were very concerned that we wouldn’t get the place because a lot of people have issues with bunnies, for some reason. And there is no way we were going to re-home them.
So! we move in april 22nd,  it’s a basement apartment with lots of room for the bunnies to run around, yay!

My question is about how we’re going to move them. I’m not sure if they would feel more comfortable in their cages or not, and my boyfriends car is tiny so we can’t really fit all three cages in at the same time, so we were thinking about taking the cages apart, but then how should we keep them comfortable?

I’m not sure if I understand the question… You mean physically moving them to the new location? Is the new apartment in the same city/area? If so, I would just put them in their carriers and pack up the cages. Probably get them moved first and set up, then move the rest of your stuff.

Yes to a new location. it’s in the same city but it’s about a ten minute drive. I don’t have any carriers

A ten minute drive isn’t a big deal then. Are they all kept in separate cages? If so, probably just move one at a time… You could put a cage in the back seat (assuming it’s a solid plastic bottom cage) and fill the rest of the space with whatever you can fit in. Get that bunny unloaded, and then repeat until everyone is moved over. I wouldn’t put the bunnies in the moving truck…

Without a carrier, what do you use to take them to vet appointments? You just pack up the whole cage? Once you’re settled, look into getting a carrier.

I usually just hold them, as they seem more comfortable that way.

They are pretty big cages so i hope they will fit in our car lol.

I always adore people who never forgets to bring along with them their furry friends whenever they are moving to a new house. There is always an advantage when you take them along with you; they make your new home homey. I just hope that your bunny did not suffer from any stress during the move, pets are always known to be territorial so you should make them feel comfortable with their new house.
