I’ve had my bunny for a year and a few months now, and a long time ago he used to pee in the kitchen, the sofa and the bed, but then he stopped and everything was perfect. Then about a month ago, I adopted a cat, and the bunny started peeing every were again! Anyone has an idea why?

He is marking. He wants the cat to know this is his space. It may or may not improve, depending on the cat and the bunny. Are both the cat and bunny neutered? That will help at least a bit.

Yep! Henry (bunny) living in a house with 3 dog’s ‘marked’ everywhere (even us) till he was neutered. Hopefully this is the problem and if so it should be resolved upon a little snip here and there, lol! It is just your guy marking his territory – telling the cat this is his person (you), his house and back up pussy cat!

Yup you’ll want to make sure both are fixed as soon as they can be. Before peeing to mark territory becomes a habit.

I don’t blame him for marking-it was his house first! Hopefully fixing them helps and they will also adjust to each other. Is it possible to give your bunny somewhere that is ‘his’ and the cat can’t get to so he feels more secure?
