Bun hops into the high corner litter tray, face facing towards the corner. Hind legs barely stepped into the litter tray and starts urinating just outside the litter tray. I watched the entire show… What’s the point in using the litter tray if you’re going to miss the mark? That’s like a guy walking to the urinal and pissing every where but the urinal. The litter tray is big enough to stretch and lie down. She just won’t go all the way in before pissing. Seems to like just stepping in and pissing outside. And there’s nothing wrong with the litter tray because she is technically in it. Any idea how to get her to hop deeper into the litter tray, or turn around before pissing?

Perhaps it is too small. Can you get a cat litter box to use? Most bunnies find those corner ones a bit cramped.

Agreed, most buns prefer larger boxes, its less confusing, and has more wiggle room

Also maybe higher sides? My girl has done that a couple times but it’s super rare. Since getting a larger box though, neither of mine have missed. Good luck

Yes, Usually when that happens it’s because the sides need to be higher.

I had to get a BIG deep litter box. It changed everything. Use a storage bin. if it has high walls cut out an entrance. the problem will resolve itself

Agreed. The size of the box usually is the problem. And it’s okay, sometimes an accident happens
