        Hello,

My bunny has had snuffles for quite some time now, he has been on numerous baytril sessions, he has even had the anitobiotic injections for a month so when I came across Vetrx I though I’d give it a go. I did alot of research and finally ordered it from America, I can’t seem to find it here in England. It arrived just now and upon looking at the instructions it doesn’t say for how long to administer it for. It suggests applying it 2-3 times a day but for long for I do this for? A week? 2 weeks? Has anyone used it before and if so can you please instruct me further on how long to use it for. Thank you!

The only information I find on this is that it is for poultry. Do you have a link as to what it actually is?

Did your vet ever do a culture and sensitivity test because Snuffles is just a catch all term for an upper respiratory infection – it’s not an actual medical term.

Lulu had pastuerella this last summer and she had baytril for two weeks and ear medication, whose name escapes me for the moment, the two weeks prior, and it took care of it. I still keep a close eye on her and take her to get a checkup every year.

Here is the main site I found: http://www.drugs.com/vet/vetrx-rabbit-remedy.html
It smells like lavender oil and has all natural ingredients.
Sadly we currently can’t afford a culture and sensitivity test but I’ve been to 3 different vets and have had the same response from each. I thought I’d give another remedy a try.

Sounds like it should be used as a vaporizer and it is only meant to help treat the symptoms. It only says to use until the symptoms disappear. It can’t hurt and relieving the symptoms might help him feel better. It won’t cure him unfortunately but may help make him feel better which is always a good thing.

It is one of those things that is meant for commercial use though which usually means it’s not going to be as effective in the long run.

Hopefully it will at least relieve the symptons for him. If you happen to find any new information on it / hear of anyone else who has used it then please let me know
