She was litter trained, and then she started to just use the corners of her cage instead of the actual litter box. I’m having trouble with the litter, so I really can’t waste any. Please, someone explain to me how to re- litter train Bambi!

Is the floor of the cage bare plastic or do you have litter everywhere?

How old is she approximately and has she been spayed yet?

I was thinking of putting a blanket on the rest of her cage if I could get her litter-trained, then I would be able to afford the litter with my own money. The floor of her cage is bare plastic, but I have tried putting different kinds of litter in the litter box that the rest of the cage, but it doesn’t seem to work! She will always wants to hang out in the litter box rather than the actual cage. I can’t seem to make her think otherwise.

She is not spayed and is around seven, probably a bit younger.

Are you putting litter all over her cage now?

I’m using newspaper. I just put more newspaper in the litter tray, and I usually won’t bundle up newspapers in her tray.

I just posted this advice in your other thread before i realized this one was here.

Avoid using newspaper over the whole base of her cage. Bunnies tend to want to owe on anything absorbent.

What type of litter had you been using in her box? It’s not unusual for some rabbits to hang out or sleep in the litterbox. Has she only just started doing that?

She never did that before in her shavings -turns out it WAS aspen-.

                        Aspen is good. : )

So she started doing this when you couldn’t get the aspen shavings?

In Edmonton, G&E Pharmacy has been mentioned on here before as good place for supplies. Have you tried there? It’s vet pharmacy / pet supply.

I haven’t had the chance to go to Edmonton yet. Thanks, though. I will look up the address. She’s starting to use it more now that I cut back on the amount in the rest of her cage.
