So recently I decided to put Austa in my room, since I figured he would be lonely now with Arla gone. He has free rome of my room, but after I put a little cardboard play house in my room for him to play in he hasn’t come out of it. He just sits in the house and never comes out. I tried to give him some treats, but he just snatches them and retreats to his house. Idk why he is doing this any ideas? Is he maybe still mourning Arla? He has been in my room now for 3 days and only comes out to go potty and eat/drink.

It could be that and it could just be a change – sometimes rabbits just take time to feel secure in a new environment and it’s only been 3 days :~)

I recently did the same thing with the cardboard box and Lulu did the same thing. She loves that thing! She will come out of it quite often but can spend almost all day in it napping. It’s nice that she can have a small little ‘safe’ place to relax in. It sounds like Austa is liking the new arrangement

I think he is adjusting to his new setup. I also have hopper’s hideaway cardboard tunnels and boxes and my male rabbits loves his. He seems to spend most of his afternoon hiding and napping in it. Perhaps your bun likes his play house too.
