Well it has been two weeks since Albert’s neuter and so far so good. I have noticed he has become messier…but mostly because he is kicking his litter around as he binkies in and out of his box. He has also chewed up his maze haven…but hey…that is fun for him so fine by me!

Now I know we still have some time to go and he could totally go crazy bun on me, but he seems like he is back to his old sweet self! Before his neuter he started to want nothing to do with me. It was so heartbreaking because he used to sit on my lap and love his cheek rubs. Well tonight he even flopped in his pen with me sitting in it, so I stretched out on the floor next to him rubbed his little cheeks forever. He even let me brush him for a long while…and boy is he moulting! The amount of hair I have ingested/had stuck to my face, clothes, hands, etc in the last week…haha.

I am in bun mom heaven. Fingers crossed it lasts. Just wanted to share the happy news.

That’s the most wonderful news Kate! Good for you!
The moulting????? It is no longer a concern for me to take a drink and after swallowing to pick a bunny hair from my tongue…… (I can only imagine what I have swallowed? LOL!). The worst is – it no longer bothers me, how tragic is that! Ha ha ha ha……
Give Al a cheek rub from me for being such a good boy! Cheers.

            Aw yay!

Maybe he’s also been experiencing a bit of PMS (Pre Moult Syndrome) ?

That’s what wendyzski used to call it for her rabbit Pepper.

Glad he is returning to his normal self!
Give him more cheek rubs from me!

Oh he has plenty of cheek rubs in his future. He is the cutest. Bad timing for the moult though since our dog is blowing her second coat too! We are hair central over here! We’ve given up vacuuming. LOL. We’ll just have to wait. I was vacuuming every day/ever few hours. No thanks! At least we don’t ever have visitors over. haha!!

                  Great news about Albert!

It’s molting-season here as well. Last week I took Bam to the vet for his shots and he looked so moth-eaten I had to make excuses for him. I felt like a bad bunny-mommy, but it turned out the vet has a bunny herself so she knows first hand what a bad molt looks like =) (It’s not everything you can learn from books, some stuff must be lived through.)
