Our sweet Chipper is the messiest bun! Now, I’ve had two others before, and we have Licorice – not too bad. Sometimes Licorice makes a little mess because he likes to eat hay from the outside of his cage.   Not a huge issue as he still is kind enough to potty in his box.

Chipper – oh my word. He FLINGS hay everywhere, he eats his hut and drags it all over. He is a major re-arranger, a digger, and a chewer. (See below for pic of giant bunny mess.) I mean – I just cleaned his area yesterday! It hasn’t even been 24 hours. Also – he is still very skittish, so I think when he skedaddles is when he flings stuff around.

He might enjoy a diggy box, or a cardboard hidey box with hay inside of it. If you turn one upside down, cut a small door opening, and put hay inside, he can pull and toss it all around within it and it won’t show. Just be sure he continues to use his litter box and not inside the hidey box.
