Nasty between my two girls about 1 1/2 hours into tonight’s bonding session (separate post).  Haven’t found any yet, and assuming no injuries, do we keep going with bonding tomorrow night?  Move to another neutral area temporarily — this week we’ve been using an x-pen in the room they will ultimately live in (none had ever been in the room before and it was freshly painted and carpet cleaned)?  Start over with short bonding sessions?  Increase the amount of stress bonding? We usually put all three in a cardboard box with flaps loosely closed when taking them to the bonding area and shake the box a bit for a short time.  Sometimes we do forced snuggles as well.  Things has been going so well that we did no stress bonding tonight.  Where do we go from here?

        Thanks for your help!

Can you describe the fight and where it occurred, between who (all three or just two) and what you think triggered it?

I’d think that may have some bearing-like if two just got stuck in a corner together and got upset and fought and it quickly ended I would just keep going. However if it was a total all out brawl with nothing that you could see was the cause (like a cause you could fix, like a noise scared them or they fought over food or what have you) then I would give a long break and go back to square one and start slow.

Oh and a hair dryer on low and cool is great for looking for injuries-it blows the hair nicely so you can get a good look at the skin
