I don’t have a bunny room yet, but my boyfriend and I are moving soon I a bigger home where it will allow me to have one! I can up with a plan today for the room and wanted to share it with y’all! I drew it all out so I won’t forget. Basically my bunny room will be shared with an office because I work from home and I love spending time with my rabbits so I though shaing my work time with them would be great since they are not that loud lol. Anyways, wanted to show you guys my plan and hopefully get some comments on it! Hoping it will cost under $100 to complete since I already have most of the supplies and the rest of the supplies I might try to get at thrift stores! What do you think? thanks for looking!

Also I wanted to include some updated pictures of Bunny & Clyde….

Here is Clyde playing in the maze that I built them.

Here is Clyde after his(her) spay…. Oh yeah, surprise surprise! Clyde is a lady! I couldn’t change his(her) name though because Bunny and Clyde are too cute, and live up to their name by stealing baseboard chunks from me lol

        Clyde chomping on a “hamburger”…

Sorry its sideways… Bunny and Clyde performing Lady & the Tramp scene with sisal rope instead of spaghetti (this was before Bunny knew Clyde was a lady )

Okay, last one I swear! Here is Bunny being a messy salad eater Hope y’all enjoyed!

Nice drawing, cute bunnies!  Love that you kept Clyde for a female! (I had a female dog named Walter when I was growing up — she wouldn’t answer to anything else!

Please be careful with the foam flooring.  I have the rubber puzzle mats in my hallway play area right now and am desperately looking for different flooring for our new bunny room play area.  Have to watch the bunnies close when in the hallway with the foam mats — whenever I’ve turned my back they’ve found the tiniest seam where the mats are attached and bitten pieces off.  Another BBer warned me and I pretty much lay in hallway when they’re out for play time until we finish our bunny room.

JackRabbit, thank you so much for the advice! I think I might have it figured out though… I may go get a cheap giant rug, or some carpet remnants from home depot… But I have actually used the foam mats with them before… I’ll post the link to the ones that I got because that may make all the difference as well.

            http://www.homedepot.com/p/Best-Step-Black-Diamond-Plate-2-ft-Square-interlocking-Foam-Mats-4-Pack-BS100-4HDT/202019834

These are the floor mats that I got because they are GIANT so there are less seams… And as for the seams, I just put clear packing tape over the seams because my rabbits dont care to chew on tape oh, and I almost forgot, I flipped the mats over so it is the smooth side that they play on… So far it is working and they’re easy to clean up… Way easier than carpet lol.

But I do thank you for the warning! Most of the time though I spontaneously get things without thinking about what could happen to the product. Im always concerned for my rabbit’s safety so that’s not what I mean, but I do just purchase things that I think will work but end up not because they LOVE destroying things, no matter how many toys they have lol.

Also, here is the beginning of the small picket fence I’m making to cover the trim. All I have to do when we move into the new place is secure each piece together and to the baseboard and wallah! hopefully it works out as planned!

If your rabbits have no issue with the foam flooring then your plan is okay as is. As for the wall decorations, my only suggestion is to use wall stickers/decals or handmade paper decor. If you paint them on your wall, you’re stuck with it lol. At least with decals you can switch it up whenever you want, maybe change it based on the season.

See, this is exactly why I posted this here lol. Thank you justwildbeat! I think the wall decor was a great idea! Also I wasn’t sure If I wanted to paint the walls in there anyways because its an apartment and I will have to paint it back so much work, just painted over. I think I will probably go with decals or paper art. Also, I was going to add a shelve or two onto the wall for them to get up onto because right now they live in a NIC condo and they love spending most of their time on the top so I don’t want to take that from them.
