Over a year ago, I found Gandalf at a flea market. I brought him home and (my ex) gave him a bath. His feet remained yellow. I chalked this up to him living in a filthy crowded pen full of other baby bunnies. He’s been bathed once or twice since then, only when he’d gotten into something sticky and never by me (I didn’t want to be the bad guy). To this day, he still has yellow feet. Very yellow. Is his fur just stained? Or does he need a proper bath with soap and water? He’s in excellent health and doesn’t smell. Just asking out of curiosity, because in all my browsing of videos, pictures, forums, ect. I’ve never seen another yellow-footed bun or heard anyone talk about bathing rabbits.

          To add a few things-
-the floor of his cage is sort of a grate with a removable pan, so the yellowing is not from standing in pee

-his previous baths were more like sponge baths, just with a gentle cloth and water

Bathing a bunny isn’t recommended – it’s very stressful for them, the soap can be harsh on their sensitive skin, and they are self-cleaning so it’s not necessary. Some rabbits just get yellow feet easily and it’s not a big deal. Most will shed out the yellow stained fur eventually when kept in a good environment, and the new fur will grow in white. It’s nothing to be concerned about. It can be caused by sitting on hay even, so it’s not necessarily urine staining.

A picture would help but, my guess is either it’s a permanent discoloration or an environmental one from grass, hay, the polish you use on the floor, etc… Bathing rabbits is not a good idea, you can wipe them off with a warm, damp cloth or with unscented baby wiped or adult bed bath cloths but, don’t give them baths as you would a dog.

As long as there are no sores, the fur is not matted and, doesn’t smell, I wouldn’t worry over a little stained fur.

All my bunnies have a bit of yellow feet too. It can be from hay. Do not bathe your bunny, it is not a good idea.
Also you mentioned he is on a gridded floor? It is recommended to not keep rabbits on wire as it can be extremely painful and cause foot problems. Can you remove the grid or at least cover it with something?

My white bunny has yellow feet. Not a big deal, just staining from hay and washing veggies juice off his face.
