So this past Saturday we picked up Lucky. His previous family decided that they could no longer take care of him and were going to feed him to their snake. We could not have that so we took him in.

So far we built him a bigger cage (that needs improvements) Got him some good food and had him running around exploring his new home. His step brothers (the cats) were interested but not threatened by him so that is good. He was already litter trained and will go back to his new cage to do his business.

He seems quite well behaved so far and loves to run across our laps when we are sitting on the couch. He seems to have claimed the bottom of the cat tree and the cats do not seem to mind.

I did not like his name much as it just seems funny to call a rabbit Lucky but considering how and why he was rescued It seems to fit. He has this perfect O pattern in his fur and I wanted to call him O or Zero.

Here is a Pic of him meeting his step brothers for the first time. This cage he previously had is just way to small.

Oh you nice person. On behalf of all of us thank you for saving the bunny. I saw someone on Craigs List selling bunnies for snake food recently. I just had to flag them

How cruel would that have been!! Getting tired of an animal that you should love but instead feed it to a snake. Whut?? o_O

Respect for you Fubijar! How could anyone feed that cute little thing to a snake. I mean just look at him! He’s adorable!

Thank you all. I myself will never understand some people. They had Lucky for 2 years before they decided to give him up.
So it has been only 3 days so far but Lucky seems to have adjusted well. He now will run around a little when let out of his cage (binkys and all) Then settle between myself and my wifes feet close his eyes and grab a little nap.
He has started to try and get the cats to cuddle. They no longer jump away from him but they still give the what are you look and turn up their noses. Cant wait for the day when I come in and see them all in a big rolled up ball of sleeping fuzziness.
I have to say that so far he is a well behaved bunny. Has not even tried to chew, dig, charge or anything else. He happily runs around and chews on his apple tree sticks and cardboard house. Lots of head bumps and licks. (read that is affection) I wonder if he knows the fate we saved him from
