Smudge is a litter trained house rabbit. Except that his little hormones have hit and he’s peeing and pooping on all the furniture.

This is getting frustrating and now that I have a job, even if it is from home, I don’t have as much time to have my eagle eye out for bad bunny behavior. Originally Smudge was in an approx. 2ft wide, 4 ft long, 3 ft high crate, not quite big enough for a bunny who might be spending more time in there. So I extended it utilizing some serious thrift store scores including two full cubes from those cube sets.

        Now it looks like this:

All the zip ties need to be cut and I think I need one more old refridgerator shelf (same materials! lol) to block along the top of the doggie car gate. Don’t worry, everything is obsessively connected and as much as I mcGuyvered it, it’s solid and holds. oh yeah, to the right of the dog crate I made a door that swings up with the bottom cube panel so I can let His Royal Highness out at least sometimes.

God, he has already perfected the sad eye look…..

        Anyway. Sad bunny.

Is this just because of not being spayed/neutered yet?

If I wrapped a cut section of towel around a piece of board, then tied it and placed in in her carrier with the door open she would dig and dig at it, getting a lot of exercise in the process, and getting out all her pent up energy.

Also, lots of tunnels / nooks / crannies from cardboard boxes keep bunnies entertained, especially if they discover bits of carrot hidden in them a couple of times a day.
