I have had Mortimer for about 5- 6 months. He is not neutered (will be soon) and he is about 7-8 months old. For the life of me I can not get him to be litter trained. Maybe Felix pampered me, training himself because he is such a clean freak, but Mortimer REFUSES. I have done everything he has ”told” me to. I put his box where he likes to pee. I hang Timothy hay by it so he can snack. I gave him a huge hay bin to pee/poop and eat in. Now I had to put another litter box on the first level of his condo because he has decided to pee/poop there. He is driving me batty! I have put towels soaked in his pee in his litter box, put some of his fresh poops in there to make sure he knew where to go. He doesn’t care. I have been putting partitions up between the bun’s condos, seeing as how they are both not neutered (yet). I am thinking he might not be training because of Felix. Could Felix be a factor?

Is he going in areas Felix has been? If so he’s likely marking his territory and, of course you clean it up so, he has to mark it all over again so Felix doesn’t take his territory.

Try moving him to an area Felix has not been in and does not go into at all and see if he litter trains better that way. Once training is firm, you can put them back together and it should hold.

They both have their own 28”x48” condos. I don’t allow the other bunny to go into their condos so there aren’t any territory issues. The condos are next to each other, thus the partitions between in some areas.
